Chapter 4

Dupain-Cheng bakery.

Marinette was getting ready for school. She was also excited to see Adrien before their date later that night. Marinette went down stairs to eat breakfast.

"Morning, Marinette." Said Marinette's mom.

"Morning, mom!" Said Marinette.

"You seem excited." Said Marinette's dad.

"Tonight I have a date." Said Marinette.

Marinette's parent's eyes lit up.

"Oh, how exciting!" Said Marinette's dad.

"Who's the lucky boy?" Asked Marinette's mom.

"Adrien. You remember him from when I was younger? Well, we reconnected earlier this week and it just happened." Said Marinette.

"Oh, we're so happy for you!" Said Marinette's dad.

Marinette hugged her parents.

"Well eat up before school." Said Marinette's mom.

A few hours later, Marinette got out of class. She looked at the time and saw it was around 2:00.

"One more hour of class." Said Marinette.

"Can't wait to get ready for our date, M'lady?" Asked Adrien as he came up behind her.

"Adrien!" Said Marinette.

Adrien embraced Marinette.

"Adriekins!" Yelled Chloe as she stormed over.

"What do you want, Chloe?" Asked Adrien a little annoyed.

"I heard you were going to go out with someone that wasn't me, and now I find out it's Marinette! Why not me?!" Yelled Chloe.

"Why does it matter to you, Chloe?" Asked Adrien.

"I... What... You... AHHHH!" Screamed Chloe as she stormed away.

"Sorry about that." Said Adrien.

"Don't be. It's nice to see Chloe get a reality check." Said Marinette.

Elsewhere in Paris.

Hawkmoth and Mayura stood on top of a rooftop.

"Are you ready, my love?" Asked Hawkmoth.

"Absolutely, my love." Said Mayura.

Mayura pulled out a strange-looking feather fan. She pulled a feather out of the fan. Mayura held the feather in her hand and it was imbued with blue energy and the feather turned blue.

"Fly my beautiful Amok." Said Mayura.

The feather flew into the wind. The feather then formed into a large purple butterfly. The butterfly turned to look at Mayura.

"Sentimonster, I am your master, Mayura! Attack the city of Paris to bring out Ladybug and Cat Noir!" Said Mayura.

The butterfly monster flew into the city and blasted buildings with lasers from its antennae.

Back at the school.

Marinette and Adrien were getting ready to leave for the day. Suddenly they heard sirens in the distance.

"Sirens?" Said Adrien.

"That means trouble." Said Marinette.

"At least schools out." Said Adrien.

Marinette and Adrien ran out of school and into an alley.

"Spots on!" Yelled Marinette.

"Claws out!" Yelled Adrien.
