He ran for a while to make sure you were satisfied with your destination. His running becomes slowed at a clearing in the woods. A beautiful warm light peaks through dense leaves. Your eyes gleam brighter with every turn of your head. This place was beyond beautiful. Taking yourself off Harvey, you inhale deeply, trying to ease yourself. A familiar hand places itself on your shoulder. "Thank you, Harvey," You smile, not being able to contain it. He smiles at your courtesy.
"I want you to stay with me until I'm ready." You look up at him. "I'll stay with you then," His iconic smile is shown at you again. You sit in the warm, lush grass; Harvey joins you. "So," you start...
The conversation progresses from there. You & Harvey sit & talk for what seems to have been hours. He's a great listener & even better company. It was the most fun you've had for a while. Maybe this place wasn't so bad.. Your guys' conversation had slowed around then & Harvey stands unexpectedly, his knees popping as he does so. "I have to get back, Y/n. I am a doctor after all," he chuckles at his own words.
At his position the sun hits him perfectly, his hair sovereign & his skin flawless & glowing. You can't help but blush at the sight of him. "Yeah," you start sadly, "I guess you do have to go." He reaches a hand out to get you up to give you a proper 'goodbye'. "I hope we meet again," you say to him. "As do I," he kisses your hand, "until then, goodbye." His transformation was sudden but expected. He leaves as fast as he arrived. "Bye, Harvey.." Your voice was soft.
With his abrupt leave, you didn't have much time to process you'd be alone. Even if it was just you with yourself, the silence was awkward. You begin to walk, your steps are easy. 'I'm going to need to find some kind of shelter if I want so much as a chance out here,'. A bead of sweat rolls down your face. 'Should I find a cave..?'. You sigh, & head west.
Your walking is slow to enjoy the scenery. But maybe that isn't the best choice currently... Thinking to yourself, you hurry up. Your gait speeds up, & your head turns faster to look around more.
You walk for what felt like hours, & at your slightly faster than normal speed. Your breath was winded. Stopping. You rest your hands on your knees. Just one more step, you tell yourself. Then you'll rest. You'll just sleep on the floor. Right. The floor.
You take a couple more steps toward some shade. You're met with your descent. It's not a long fall, but painful nonetheless. You hit a rock or two on your fall & land on even harder ground. You groan. "What the hell, man." Your mood changes from semi-optimistic to negative. You try to get up, but your legs give out under you. 'I'll just go to sleep here,'. Not even bothering to move from your spot, you look up through the opening of the hole. You haven't ever seen stars so bright.
Being alone with your thoughts & the sky, you fall asleep.
Your sleep wasn't the best. You could recall waking up multiple times in the night & shuffling around. Fully waking up, you look up at the sky. Darkness. You could've sworn you slept long enough for the sun to come back up. Thinking it was just your eyes, you rubbed them. 'Rock.' The ceiling is... Solid. There's a ceiling.!? You sit up fast, you're laying on a rock, using another rock as a 'pillow'. You let out a relieved sigh. "I found a cave last night.!?" You celebrate mentally. "God, I must've been out of it to think I fell in a hole." You laugh at the idea of it.
The shelter is small. You can see everything in the cave looking around. Your eye's caught on another rock with what appears to be a blanket on it. Your legs lift you off your own rock without hesitation. You go over to the cloth & pick it up. "Goodness," 'This is the softest thing I've ever felt,' Holding it, you can't help but rub it on your face & around you. This must've been your lucky day. The rosy color made it pop & oh-so-beautiful, & the silky texture & unique design made it so much better.
You couldn't help yourself, you had already found the shelter you needed. You could find food later. You place the fabric down, a million dress & co-ord ideas rushing to your head. You couldn't waste it. Outside, you're met with long lush grass, & a various selection of other plants. You kneel down & pick up fibers. You plan to make string so you can sew. You can figure out how you'd get a needle later, finding out how to get the string would be enough work for now..
You spend at least half the day making string, playing with the fabric, picking berries for food & just wandering around. You caught bugs & sunbathed. You loved the feeling of the grass. This is the freest you have ever felt. You're not worrying about anything. 'No more job, no more unneeded stress, no more other people' You laugh at yourself. The last thought makes you reminisce. "No more.. Other people." You think of your family, your boyfriend. Your family would miss you, & even if your boyfriend was a horrible person, you still miss him & his love.
You sit up from your grass bath. 'What Harvey told me. I'm *bound* to meet other beastmen, right..?" You put your hand up to your face. You shrug your shoulders, "mm." You stand up & head back to the cave. You were going to use pine needles you found as sewing needles. Having gotten all the supplies, all you were to do was start working.
You're in the cave, halfway out to use the sun as light. It's kind of hard to work without scissors, but you make do with your teeth. Of course, your teeth would make it look bad but it's nothing you can't fix with a needle & thread. Your fiber thread is the strongest you've ever felt. You were so proud of yourself.
You excruciatingly work with the cloth, hour after hour. By the time you're finally done, light is dim & it's about the time you should go to sleep. But not before trying on your new clothes. The whole time you worked, you had to guesstimate, comparing it to yourself & your already given clothes. You prayed you guessed accurately.
You dress in the cave. It had all the privacy you needed. You're wearing the clothes you just tailored. It fit better than perfect. You were so ecstatic. A pinkish-red co-ord jumpsuit is what you made. Not only did it look good, the material was it was *so* comfy. You felt like melting in it. You decide to go out one last time before going to sleep. You figured you'd look for a lake so you could bathe, if you couldn't you'd just look for berries to eat.
You weren't successful with the former. You lay on your rock-bed & think to yourself. You felt so fulfilled, today was satisfying to say the least. But you had to get home. Thinking about this place compared to your home got you tired fast. You were asleep happy in no time.
