The Next week..

Graduation was in 7 days and I couldn't wait to be an alumni of Texas Southern University and honestly it felt great

Not only was I leaving my legacy on this court but I was also leaving with a degree I've wanted since Junior year of high school

and I was leaving to pursue my dream that I've been dreaming for ever since 1st grade which was finally playing in the NBA

I was still with my parents at their house just being away from campus felt great, of course I went back to continue my packing and shit

Domonique has been texting me and calling to the point I just muted her notifications I need space and time

I was playing the game with Nathan and Zion as my mom walked into my room "Niko" she spoke sternly I took off my headset

"Momma" I looked over to her to see her standing in the doorway with her hand on her hip

"You gon continue to stay cooped up in this room all day" she kicked a shirt that was on the floor "You need to go fix things with my future daughter in law is what you need to do" she sassed she really loved her some Domonique

I laughed she rose her eyebrows at me "Momma" I sighed "We done, that chapter of our lives is over" I threw my controller down on my bed

"Niko" My mom said my name sternly "Now you and me both know that girl has no ill intention with you or against you"

"We both know she did not cheat on you" she spoke firmly I shook my head sighing "Yea I know but I'm just having second thoughts"

"and that's okay baby but sometimes you got to push those aside and move forward, there's so many times i've had to put my pride aside and move forward with your father"

"I understand momma but she gets her way every single fucking-" she looked at me with her eyebrow rose

"every single time" I finished she nodded "She does wrong and I'm always suppose to move one and forget about it just cause she did it but the minute I fuck-" she rose her eyebrows again

"I mess up it's all my fault and I need to kiss the ground she walks on before she finally decides to let me back in again"

"I know it's frustrating Niko but guess what that's how relationships work one messes up and you just have to forgive and move on"

"Now that's a conversation you need to have with her you need to express you don't appreciate how she shuts down and decides on her time when she wants to forgive and finally allow you in her good graces again"

"Express to her that she doesn't get to do that then when she messes up she expects you to forgive and forget immediately"

"I hear you mama I do" I nodded she nodded "Okay Jordan, I love you"

"Love you too momma" she closed my door as I put my headset back on "Nigga so you comin wit us to the club or what" Nathan spoke I chuckled "Yeah nigga I ain't got shit better to do"

"Zion you sure yo girl gon let yo ass go" I laughed as Nathan teased Zion "Yeah nigga I run this shit not her"

Me and Nathan busted out laughing "Alr y'all asses better be ready at 10"

"Boys night out niggaaa" Nathan dragged I shook my head smiling as we continued to play 2k
