“Goodmorning.” he greeted the moment I entered his car. Kakadating niya lang and sakto naman siya sa oras. He wanted to go down to open the car’s door for me but I told him no need to do that.
I smiled a little trying to hide my blushing cheeks from him. Ngayon lang bigla nag-sink in sakin ang mga pinagsasasabi ko sa kanya kagabi.
Seryoso ba? Lee Jeno is courting me already?
“Seatbelts please.” his tone was so gentle that it made me blush even more. Malagong ang boses ni Jeno but the way he talks was just so soft.
I nodded and fixed my seatbelt as I try to collect myself altogether. Hindi pwedeng magmukha akong tanga dito no? Ang tapang tapang ko kagabi na sabihin na hindi magiging madali ang lahat pero heto at kinikilig na ako agad sa kanya eh wala pa siyang ginagawa? ><
Once finished, he started driving already. Pinipigilan kong mapatingin sa gawi niya habang nagmamaneho siya kasi sobrang pogi niya lang pagmasdan.
“How was your sleep?” tanong niya. I gulped and sighed before answering.
“Ayos lang.”
I saw from my peripheral view that he glanced at me. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang reaksyon or ekspresyon niya dahil hindi ko naman siya tiningnan.
“Did you finish your schoolworks?”
“Oo.” you shortly replied. You sighed and slowly felt yourself feeling more comfortable.
Slowly you took a glance at Jeno and you pouted, “Sorry. I don’t know how to act around a suitor. This is actually my first time being courted.” hindi mo alam kung anong sumapi sayo at bigla mo nalang sinabi ‘yon habang nakatingin sa kanya.
Shock flashed over his face after hearing about it. He took a glance at you before smiling brightly. Ang pogi.
“Are you serious?” gulat parin siya base sa tono niya. Napakunot naman ang noo mo dahil sa sinabi niya.
“Oo nga.” at nagpout ka pa lalo.
Jeno lets out a chuckle, “That’s fine. You can take your time being comfortable, alright? I’m not on a rush.”
You pursed your lips before nodding slowly. You’re still a little bothered that Jeno will find it boring kasi nga hindi mo alam pano mag-react sa mga ganito. Should you be thankful and give big reactions when he arrive at your house picking you up? Masaya ka naman nung nakita mo siya pero hindi mo lang alam pano iexpress. Basta masaya ka.
You snapped back to reality when you felt him hold your hand. Agad bumilis ang tibok ng puso mo at nilingon siya.
Jeno smiled, “Hey, don’t overthink okay? It's fine. You’re doing fine.” he said like as if he sees through your own thoughts.
You nodded and turned over the window with a small smile.
