Chapter 5

It's been few days that Taejin got married...yet none of them were talking to each other. They only exchanged words like 'yes' & 'no'. Whenever, Taehyung tries to initiate a conversation, Jin avoids it. He knows Jin can't accept this fact and niether can Tae himself but atleast both of them should work it out by talking to each other. He also knows Jin went through a lot more than Taehyung. Without thinking anything anymore, Taehyung went to work after bidding bye to his family members.

Meanwhile, Jin hasn't joined his office yet unlike Taehyung. He became the CEO few weeks before the marriage but he took his leave so he is planning to join the next week. Plus, both of their fathers are planning to collaborate on a project since both Taehyung and Jin are the CEOs of their own companies respectively.

"Good morning, Sir Kim." The colleagues greeted Taehyung as he entered the office building.

"Ah yes, good morning guys." Taehyung greeted back with a smile.

"As soon as he entered his cabin, the employees launched a party popper at him, "Congratulations Mr. Kim on getting married."

"Oh-thanks guys. But how did y'all know?"

"C'mon sir. Through the media. We know it was in a hurry so it's alright. But you gotta invite us to your wedding reception. We wanna meet the famous CEO Kim Seokjin." The employees said enthusiastically.

"I know right. It's like a fanfiction...yk bestfriends getting married to each other. I'm happy for our sir." Another employee said.

Meanwhile Taehyung was in deep thoughts about the reception thing. Nothing is right between Jin and him and they're talking about reception. God knows his mom is thinking too. Although he saw his mom in a hurry this morning. Maybe she's preparing for the reception too. Who knows.

"Sir? Are you okay? You didn't like our surprise?"

"No no, I loved it and don't worry y'all are invited. Now let's get back to work everyone." Taehyung said before heading towards his cabin.

"Jinnie, may I come in?"

"Oh aunt-I mean mom...sure, pls come in."

"Silly boy, you used to call me mom too before you got married. Are you too nervous?"

"Ah well that was...we were best friends and now we are married so.."

"Jin. You can open up to me ok? I'm your mom now....officially." Mrs. Kim chuckled.

"Yes mom. It's just it happened so fast. I broke up with my fiancé and after sometime I found myself getting married to my bestfriend. I'm sure it's hard for him too to accept this but unlike me he's not just expressing it."

"I know Jin. Your parents and I and Taehyung's dad had a meeting to talk about this on that day. We knew it wouldn't be right so we asked for your consent and gave you time. The truth is we only didn't do it to show to media and save our reputation. We just knew you two would be compatible with each other. We saw something in you and Taehyung...something like I can't explain..I'm sure as time goes by, you and Taehyung will open up to each other and make a good couple. You two will be each other's happiness, as friends and as husbands. Marriage is a sacred bond. A marriage isn't only about couples who were already in love with each other. Love can happened between two people even after marriage.
Ik it's hard accepting but put a little more effort...whenever you're ready, talk to Taehyung."

"I understand mom...thank you."

"No problem son. I and your dad are always here for you." Mrs. Kim said earning a nod from Jin.

It was almost 8 pm, meaning Taehyung would be back home anytime. Jin is already sitting in their bedroom, arranging his clothes.

Taehyung entered the room and saw Jin putting his clothes in the wardrobe.

Seokjin immediately remembered what their mother told him. He was trying to talk to Taehyung but he was giving the cold shoulder.

"What is wrong with you Tae?" Jin yelled in frustration.

"Huh?" Taehyung looked at Jin with a clueless look.

"Don't 'huh' me. Why aren't you talking to me? Why are you giving me the cold shoulder Tae?" Jin snapped.

"Then what am I supposed to do? I've been trying to talk to you since weeks yet you were avoiding me. So rn I'm just doing a favour for you by not replying to you. You should be happy, Jin. Now that I'm back from office, you started nagging me despite the fact that I'm tired!!" Taehyung snapped back and slammed the door before leaving but he immediately came back as soon he heard Jin's soft sniffles.

"Jin, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get angry at you that much...okay? Pls forgive me." He asked but got no response. He slowly approached him.

"Jin? I'm sorry. Ok let's hear whatever you've to say. Are you upset about something... like our marriage? See, I don't blame you for being uncomfortable...cuz at first I was a bit uncomfortable too. But we gotta work it out-" Before Taehyung could finish his sentence, Jin pressed his head against Tae's chest and broke down in tears.

"It's ok...cry it out..." Taehyung said as he continued to pat Jin's back.

After few moments, Jin stopped crying.

"Feeling better?" Taehyung asked.

"Yes." Jin replied.

"Good. Now what do you wanna say?"

"Actually I wanna talk to you Tae."

"Sure what is it?"

"Um...I don't know where to start. I have a lot of things to say.

"You know right I was, I'm and I'll be always and here for you. C'mon you can share anything with me."

"Tae, our friendship won't get ruined bcz we got married right?" Jin asked, receiving a 'are you serious' look from Taehyung.

"Of course not. We were best friends, we are best friends and we will be best friends forever. The fact that we got married doesn't change our friendship at all Jinnie."

Jin smiled at the nickname. He hasn't heard this nickname from Taehyung's mouth for a while. It gives him butterflies.

"Okay, you know what..let's talk it out." Taehyung said, "It's been weeks that incident happened...and of course you didn't deserve that. This is too cruel. I wish I could kill that bastard right there at that time for deceiving you. He has such a sick mentality. And I do know you will move on or ig you have already moved on. You're such a strong person Jin. Also, I know our marriage happened in such a hurry and it's not just only to save our families' reputation but I do believe they did it thinking about our happiness bcz I accidentally heard our parents talking about this...so yeah. We are best friends and obviously the fact that we got married to each other is new and awkward but we will get used to it eventually. So not to feel uncomfortable let's just live with the fact that we are only bestfriends. Okay?"

"Alright. Just to live together as best friends, like we used to do. You seem so cool with it." Jin said as he cocked an eyebrow."

"Well someone has to do it, like taking the responsibility...and that's me." Taehyung said while giving a smug look.

"Whatever." Jin playfully rolled his eyes.

"So, everything cool between us now? No more uneasiness?"

"Nopeeee."

"Cool. So what about our wedding night...we didn't spent it well back then?"

"Gosh Tae...shut up and go freshen up. You stink." Jin threw the pillow playfully making Taehyung laugh.

"Hey, that's mean-"

"Serves you right, Mr. Taehyung. I'm going downstairs to help mom...bye."

"Yeah yeah... whatever." Taehyung said as he playfully rolled his eyes at the other.
