Elena’s eyes drooped, she had been stuck between the two hybrids for hours and the silence was lolling her to sleep. But as soon as her eyes shut, they flew back open. She couldn’t sleep at a time like this, Klaus was holding her hostage and there was nothing she could. She was helpless against him; a tiny, fragile human and the big bad wolf. She was going to become his meal, or worse, his torture victim. This was all because of Stefan. He couldn’t just leave well alone, he had to steal Klaus’ family. He knew that Elena would take him back, that she would forgive him for leaving her, but he just couldn’t let this go. So, instead of striking back, Klaus took her.

As soon as she felt like she was going to scream, Klaus pulled into a 5-star hotel; high class and way too expensive. She watched as he smirked at her through the rear view mirror. That smirk coiled the nerves in her stomach and she thought she was going to puke up the coffee she had chugged before leaving the house that morning.

He walked from the driver side of the car to the back door and opened it, motioning for the hybrids to get out. Once they were both out, he slid into the seat beside her. Panic welled in her stomach and she slipped away from him, her back pressing against the opposite door, her eyes wide on his. He said nothing, only grinned at her and leaned over, grasping her hand that was reaching for the door handle as well as the one that rested against her thigh and gripped them between both of his.

“You’re not going anywhere, sweetheart,” he spoke easily, no trace of anger or instability in his voice as his fingers showed otherwise, tightening against her wrists. “So, don’t try anything or I will kill you and everyone that hears you plea or scream.”

Her head bobbed in a quick nod as she kept her lips sealed. She was terrified and the glint in his eyes showed that he knew. He could feel her pulse beating rapidly; hear it all around the car. “Good,” he spoke once more before releasing the hold on her wrists and opened the car door, jumping gracefully out and holding his hand for her to take to help her from the confines. Reluctantly, she placed her hand in his, knowing that if she didn’t obey, there would be consequences, and followed his lead. He kept his hand in hers, lacing their fingers and tugging her along to the entrance of the hotel.

Once they stepped inside, her jaw dropped. It was not like any other hotel Elena had seen. The walls, floors, and any counter space were all made of marble. There hung a large chandelier in the center of the grand ceiling. She felt so out of place in her chucks, jeans and t-shirt. But Klaus didn’t seem to mind the way they were dressed as he marched her to the front desk and requested the highest dollar suite. He dropped down his credit card and grabbed the key from the clerk before gesturing for the hybrid goons to follow behind them with his luggage. And whoa, there was a lot of it. How long did he plan to keep her? She shook her head and followed silently behind him into the elevator.

“Wait for the next one,” he murmured softly to the hybrids as the doors shut and he punched the button to their room. “Your boyfriend has caused me great problems, but don’t worry, love, we’re going to have a grand time, as long as he gives me my family back.”
