I cover myself with both of my arms and freeze. Face turning red as ever. Sollux also freezes for a few seconds. His face is as yellow as mustard. After he snapped out from whatever he is looking at, he immediately leaves. My heartbeat turns normal again, glad that he's gone. I wear my fresh tee and skirt then i rest myself on the long mattress.

Looking up at the top of the tent, which was made from some see-trough raincoat, i sighs heavily. The orange velvety sky is turning darker. The thin and light clouds turns to heavy and grey lump. I think it's going to rain soon. I hope the boys will be okay.

My eyes feels heavier within every blink, but something hold me from sleeping.

Because of the great nuclear war that destroys everything, this world is divided in three castes, low color, mid color and high color. The mid colors live a normal life. Live in a medium but comfortable house, eats good food, wears decent clothing and have respectable jobs. The high colors live a luxurious life. Huge mansions almost like a palace, expensive food, glorious clothing, and mostly royal-blooded.

They live in a decent rather majestic lives. Well except us, the low colors.

The empress tend to think that the low colors are 'a shame' so she decided to exile us to a different island. Every two months there will be more trash piled here. They bring the trash using a gigantic basket carried by many featherlings. Well, at least that's what they told me. I nor anyone in my group have never seen it before.

Living here is the toughest. Only the best can survive. That's why it's not seldom we saw rotting corpses of low color featherlings. The only way we survived here is by relying on what is around. Slightly rotten food, muddy water and torn clothes are the only things that we could find mostly.

My toughts were interrupted by someone 'knocking' the door (which is more of a curtain made by cloth as well). I immediately sit down.

"Um... Aradia? Are you changing? Be-because um... Sollux said that you was. I found something that you could eat."

"Oh... um... y-yeah i'm done. You can come in."

Tavros open the 'door' and come in, leaving it ajar. he walks toward me and sit beside me. He hands me something which appears to be an energy bar. It looks untouched and clean.

"I found this bar and i tought i could give it to you. I haven't checked wether it expired or not tough."

I tear the side of the wrapper and sniff it. It smells sweet like chocolate. The scent that i hasn't smell in a long time. The bar have hasn't expired yet. I take a bite.

"It's still good Tavros. Thank you." I say as i munch the heavenly treat delightfully.

He looks at me and smiles. His face looks slightly paler than usual.

"Tavros, have you eat anything today?" I ask worriedly.

"Um... It's fine. I'm okay."

"No, no it's not. Here, have some." I give him half of the bar.

"N-no. It's fine. You're not feeling well right?" He refused as he pushes my hand softly.

"You need it more than i do." I say as i break the bar into quarter and stuff it in his mouth. He chews the bar, smiling.

"It's... Delicious..."

"Here, have the rest." I say as my hand try to put the bar in his mouth but he holds my hand, trying to get it himself.

"It's fine. I-i can eat it myself."

"No. If you want it you will have to let me feed it to you."

"Fine." He opens his mouth as i put the bar in his mouth.

"Thanks Aradia." He says trough his munching. I chuckles.

"Don't talk with your mouth full, silly!"

We talk about alot of things until it's evening.

"Woah, we talked so much it's late now." I say as i look up to the top of the tent.

"Yeah... I hope Karkat doesn't get mad at me."

Our conversation is interrupted by someone opening the door.

"Wow look at the slacker who spent the whole afternoon chatting and eating. This is no cafe you idiot!"

"Tavros was just bringing me food. He also didn't look very well."

"You better get well tomorrow. You still need to take the double shift as well."

"It's okay. I'll do my shift so Tavros doesn't have to take double."

"But, Aradia-"

"It's fine" I assure him.

"Yeah. Whatever. I'm going to rest. Sollux will take the first shift." He says as he walks lazily to the mattress and lay down.

Me and Tavros follows Karkat and sleep on the mattress. Tavros sleep on my right while Karkat chose to sleep a space beside my left . The heavy sound of the pounding rain and the scent from the wet ground drives me to sleep.
