When Ben had died, klaus was devastated. He didn't get to say goodbye, and he really wanted to.
Klaus tried summening his ghost, after all wasn't that why he had that power anyway?
He tried and he tried but no matter how much he tried, Ben still wasn't there.

Klaus was always Reginald's favourite (though he would never say it or let anyone even suspect it) he always meant for him to be the one who will eventually take over the company. Originally he wanted to finish the job, reset the world and live with his wife. But when Ben died there was no longer any hope for 7 of his superpowered children to charge the machine. Because even if five would return, they would still be 6.

After Ben's death Reginald decided exactly what was going to happen next. He was going to train Klaus. But not in the way he used to, not just to make his power stronger, but to get his very own successor. One that will find more of the special babies and use them to restart the universe.
To his surprise Reggie was quite glad that once he would finely get his wish, he would still have an heir. And one that has such potential.

As Reggie wanted to start the training, he noticed Klaus's devestation and sadness. He was really connected to Ben.
Reggie decided to give Klaus a mission. But not the regular kind.

"You will go to London, there you will find normals, and befriend them. You will report to me every month. You will stay there for a week and I'll get you some people to act as your parents. Once the week is over you can stay there until you fill like you've had enough of the simple life. Understood?"
"Yes father" Klaus answered with pretty much no emotion.

London 5am:

Grace knocked on the weird looking door infront of them. The door wasn't actually weird but Klaus never saw a door that wasn't super taken care of and replaced every once in awhile after someone breaks it...
"Hi you must be Grace right?"said a woman who looked like she didn't have any personal hygiene (or so it looked to Klaus).
"Yes I am, this is my son Nathan he is the one you'll take care of."
In order for no one to know who he is, Reginald decided to give Klaus a fake name(which was very hard on him considering the fact that Klaus was the name he chose (secretly of course)) and a cover story-
Nathan was in a troubled family and the mother Grace decided to pay someone to take care of him while she was busy handling the other family members.

" Hello Nathan" the woman said "from now on I'm going to take of you and be your mom"
"You will get the money at the end of each month."
"I... Well thank you... Are you sure it's ok to talk about it in front of him so openly?..." The woman looked confused, a child isn't supposed to know that a woman only cares for him because of money...
"Yes of course. I already know everything about it anyway" Klaus, no Nathan said nonchalant.
"...ok well come on in"

The woman's ex husband had been told that Nathan is actually his son. After a lot of payment for the woman.

But it didn't work he didn't believe that. And so it was time for Reginald to get involved.
He brewed up some sort of a memory changer and gave it to the man. And it worked!
So now Nathan Young had a fake mother and a fake father.

A few months later:

Nathan couldn't make any friends. He was too weird so he went bowling to relax and possibly make a friend.
But to his surprise, normally you can't just take whatever you want and do whatever you want for free... He had to pay. He didn't have any money because it would look weird if he had money without working.
Klaus didn't want his dad (nor his fake dad) to pay for him... That just felt wrong.
So the manager called the cops.
Nathan was sentenced to 200 hours of community service.

How'd I do?
From one to ten how horrible was it considering it's my first fic?
