Alice Pov

The trees were a beautiful shade of dark green. The wind rustled the leaves making small swoowhing noises while the rain poured down onto the ground creating a thunderous clap. The sky was a dark black with the moon peeking through in between clouds casting a light glow over the scenery.

I sighed starring out my window while laying on the floor on my back. I analyzed everything I saw and heard, trying to cure my boredom. I hadn't had any new visions for months meaning it was the same old same old. School also didn't feel like school anymore. It felt more like a chore with how many times I've done it. It didn't help that I didn't have any friends. Not even shopping convinced me to get up. I guess living for 200 years will do that to ya. 'I wish I had somone...to talk to.'

I sighed and rolled my head to look at the ceiling. 'Maybe if I count the specs on the ceiling without my vampire speed it will cure me of my boredom'. I started counting 1,2,3...I heard rustling far away but pegged it for one of the nocturnal animals. 4,5,6,7...I heard the rustling again but it sounded like wings flapping. I one again pegged it for a bird. There were usually some birds out catching food for their babies during the rain. 8,9,10...the flapping sound got louder and closer. I sat up on my elbows frowning as I looked out the window. The flapping noise was extremely loud almost as if it was a dragon creating the noise. Suddenly there was silence except for the rain. The wind had stopped, the animals no longer made their presence known, and even the moon had hid behind the clouds as if it was scared. The silence lasted 5 seconds. Next thing I knew I saw a blur slam into the ground below my window. It was so fast and sudden that not even my vampire eye site caught it.

The ground rumbled resembling an earthquake, the house shook and groaned as it strained to stay upright, the glass shattered in front of me causing me to recoil back instinctively covering my face. 'Yes I'm a vampire but I still have human reflexes'. Dust and dirt swirled in the air obscuring my view to see what caused such a commotion.

I ran downstairs seeing Carlisle, Rosalie, Edward, Esme, Jasper, and Emmet starring out of the space where our window wall used to be. Hushed whispers were swapped in between family members, each making their own guesses as to what caused this. The dust cleared in the air revealing a meteor sized crater in our backyard. And in the middle of that crater was...a human?

"Carlisle is that a human?" I asked confused. I may not spend much time around the living but I knew any human in this situation should be dead. But considering I heard a heartbeat that was not the case.

Carlisle frowned and stepped out of the house onto the grass that wasn't impacted by the blast. "I don't know but everyone stay back. I'll let you all know if it's safe."

"Pfft if it's a human let's just burry it and be on with our night" Rosalie shrugged. Esme then glared at Rosalie and spoke with a mothering tone "Human or not Rosalie we are not burying it." Rosalie rolled her eyes in response.

Emmet then took his turn and spoke with a beaming smile "You think that if they survived that fall they arm wrestle with me- OW Rosie!" Emmet stood with a pout rubbing the back of his head. "There will be no arm wrestling until we know what's going on" Spoke Rosalie.

I shook my head and smiled a bit. Jasper then walked over to my side. "Did you get any visions on this Alice?" I frowned realizing I in fact had not gotten a vision. "No...I guess it means it wasn't planned or they changed their mind too quickly?" I sighed rubbing the bridge of my nose thinking about all the visions I had within the past 8 months.

"Alice! Bring my tools to me I'll need your assistance!" Carlisle exclaimed. I raised my eyebrows in question and quickly went upstairs to his office grabbed everything I thought that would be needed and ran back downstairs stopping once I was next to Carlisle.

"Hand me that tool there I have to remove this bullet, it looks like it's infecting her." I passed the tool and looked down for the first time at the mystery person who caused such a panic. And what I saw was a sight. It was a human girl about late teens early twenties. Chocolate brown hair with streaks of auburn through it. A profound jaw line with the cutest nose ever. They were wearing what almost looked like a ninja suit in all black. But just by looking I could tell they...no she was muscular. In conclusion I was smitten within the first few seconds of looking at her. 'If only I knew her name'.

"Alice!" I shook my head physically, pulling me out of my thoughts and focused back onto the task at hand. If vampires could blush I would be doing so right now.

"Hold this here while I wrap her stomach then we're done." I did as I was told and went back into dream land. Looking back down I saw that her top had been cut open revealing the chiseled abs that were on display. My mouth watered with venom while other things started to get heated. 'Snap out of it!' I shook my head again refocused my attention to helping the woman.

"All done, now we can transport her upstairs to my office. I have a gurney in there." I picked up the human with practiced caution in my arms and walked her up to Carlisles office. On the way I heard Edward say something I hadn't noticed. "The 'humans' blood doesn't smell normal. I don't think it's best we let it in our house."

I ignored him amd kept waking up the stairs but thought about what he said. The whole time I was helping Carlisle I didn't smell any blood. Even when I concentrated and tried to smell for it I still smelled nothing. I chalked it up to the weird events that had happened withing the last 10 minutes. I carefully layed the 'human' down onto the gurney while Carlisle came in seconds after. "Thank you Alice you may go now I won't be long here. I called for a family meeting as well."

I nodded and walked out the door but not after looking back at the 'human' still pondering why I felt the way I felt.

-2 hours later-

"Oh please you're just mad somone esle other than the golden boy is getting attention here" scoffed Rosalie.

Edward growled at Rosalie ready to say something when Carlisle broke up the argument. "Enough! Both of you! I called this meeting to discuss our Jane Doe nothing more nothing less. Now if you 2 have gotten it out of your systems we can go back to the discussion at hand." Carlisle yelled.

We all looked suprised since Carlisle was not one to yell. "I say we keep it! It could be fun!" Emmet spoke with a smile. "It is not a pet Emmet besides we need to be ready if it is hostile. I don"t like this one bit" commented Jasper.

"How about we save the trouble and burn it?" Edward remarked under his breathe. "Awww we finally agree on something Eddy poo!" Rosalie cooed. Edward snarled while the rest of us let out a few chuckles.

Esme then decided to speak her peace. "Alice did you really not have any visions on this happening?" I frowned feeling horrible that I let my family get in the way of danger by not seeing this. "I didn't" I whispered looking fown at my hands but I knew they all could hear me. Jasper sat next to me on the sofa and gave me a side hug. I smiled glad I could call him a brother.

Carlisle nodded and looked on with a thinking face. "I say we wait till the person wakes up. We can ask questions and hopefully they're not hostile. Considering the damage the bullet did to them I'm guessing they will be out for a while. I also belive they were running away from something"

"Or somone! God only knows how much danger we're putting ourselves in buy aiding that thing upstairs!" Rosalie exclaimed.

"That thing, has a name." I frowned not recognizing the voice until I turned towards the stairs seeing our mystery person leaning against the banister glaring at Rosalie.
