Her eyes followed his every moments as he quietly took his tray from the canteen and made his way in an empty table. She had never seen him hanging out with any friend. Infact she was wondering how he could have spent those hours without wishing for any company to talk to him. Many boys of the college wanted to be his friends but it was he who always pushed people away. Even there were many girls who literally would be willing to do anything to have him as boyfriend. Nevertheless, he didn't give a second glance to someone. He was a walking greek god with perfect grades and full of attitude.
The moment he had collided with her and kind of humiliated her, it had ignited something in her for what she was now desperate to know him. Something about him was strongly attracting her. Not just a simple crush. He was making her to feel something. He was a daring boy undoubtedly who knew how to speak on his behalf and show someone's place. It was not that she was not aware regarding his personality. But today, she was just being very observant since the heated argument between them had absolutely affected her in a strong way. So she was having the strong urge to go near him and getting to know his real side not the bad boy image he had created infront of the whole population of the college.
With determination and preparation, she went towards his table. Raghav was scrolling through his phone while taking bite of his sandwich. He was so engrossed with his own work at that time that he failed to notice the known figure standing behind him.
Ishita silently took a seat beside him seeing that he had not still now noticed her. She felt sudden irritation when he didn't notice her presence. She took a quick scan of herself to confirm that she was looking presentable enough. No, she looked perfect. Then why wasn't he paying attention?
"So, are you going to acknowledge me or will you pretend as if I am not here?" She asked when she got the hint that he had now noticed her but was not making any move to look at her or say anything to her.
"I have heard that when you ignore something long enough, it will eventually disappear." Raghav said without taking his eyes off the phone. Ishita could instantly feel her head boiling when he compared to her with just something. She was not definitely "something". Her ego was again bruised by this stupid boy. Composing herself, she chose to ignore his comment.
"You know what you should be nice sometimes. Being an asshole is not going to do any good to you." She stated. This time, his eyes lifted from his phone and met with hers.
"I don't see any problem with myself. If you have problem, why are you here? And yeah, I am like this - asshole according to your dictionary." He replied smugly rolling his eyes at her.
"This obviously doesn't imply anything. I know that you have a heart because you are human at the end of the day." She quinted her eyebrows. He simply sighed at her words.
"Ishita, why are you here? Shouldn't you be with your higher class friends instead of a mechanic?" He asked, crossing his arms over his chest.
"That's my own decision to take. You don't have to be the spokesperson for me. I am well aware about what I am doing and what I will do." She retorted defensively.
