Up on the rooftop of Jessica's building, the only noises that reach you are that of the idling traffic in the street below. It's a good view, just as good as she'd promised when she'd invited you up to see it, but it's far from the only thing on your mind now.
She fits perfectly under your arm, and happily lets you pull her into you with a kiss to her cheek. "So pretty."
"I know, aren't they?" She says excitedly, with her eyes fixed to the faintly twinkling stars above you.
"I'm not talking about the stars." You say softly, watching her grow shy under the compliment. She kisses your knuckles, keeping your hand in hers as she prays that the moonlight won't betray her blushing cheeks.
