To my parents

Dear mother, dear father,
on the day of my celebration
i put in your hands the reclamation
neither of you never told me
that life is very hard
that I can't sleep all the time I want
that people are selfish
and very often insincere
that "true love" does not last forever
that work can be hard
that you can't heal yourself with sweets
and that it's hard to make a dinner
that you can't afford everything with your payment
and adulthood means nothing
and even a child has more freedom!
that it's not that bad going early to bed
that friends can’t always be trusted
that you can suffer more...

But still, thank you for all those years
when you protected the little me
from the cruelty of this world
that you gave me a good childhood
even if i was a little troublemaker
that you were staying up late with me
to be sure my homework was done
that even if you were mad at me
you never hit me
that you taught me how to be curious about the world
even if you didn't get much in return for that
that even now, when i am thirty years old
your hearts are full of love
and you always support me
i will never be able to repay you
for all the good things you gave me
but you must never ever forget
that i love you so much
just because you are
