Run stop hide check. Run stop hide check. They followed that pattern the whole night. Running a few miles, stopping, hiding behind a building or in an ally and then checking around the corner before starting to run again. They hadn't bumped into anything until the sun had fully risen.

CRASH!

"Who could we possibly be bumping into at this time!" Melody yelled trying to get up of the ground.

"Oh I don't know. Anyone who could be running from The Infected!" Kayla yelled.

"Nope! Just us," a voice replied.

The girls looked up to find Emma, Belle, Victoria, Tess and Mai standing in front of them.

"You made it out alive!" Maya said pulling Melody up.

"Of course we did, we're just as smart as you guys in this stuff," Tess said.

"Well, Riley's probably the smartest. She has been imagining a zombie apocalypse for years now," Belle said staring at Riley.

Everyone turned around to look at Riley.

"Well it's always good to have someone who knows so much about Zombies!" Melody yelled, "Because it looks like we're gonna need it!"

Everybody turned around to find ten or more zombies coming towards them, quickly. They seemed to be getting quicker with every step they took.

"Where do we go?" Victoria yelled.

"Anywhere but where they are!" Riley yelled back.

Before they could run The Infected pounced on them. They scattered, each running in different directions, trying to get away. Maya grabbed on to Riley's wrist and started dragging her into a run-down building.

"What? Maya, what are you doing? We need the others!" Riley said trying to pull her wrist out of Maya's grip.

"We don't have time to get them, we need to hide!" Maya replied.

Riley allowed Maya to drag her into the building.

"So we just wait now?" Riley asked.

"Yep!" Maya replied walking over to a bunch of crates.

Riley walked over to Maya and watched her unsuccessfully try to open one of the crates. Riley laughed and went to help pull the crate lid off. Just as she put her hands on the lid Maya gave another pull and the lid went flying.

"Oh my god," Maya whispered.

"We should take them," Riley said looking up at Maya.

"What? Two bows, two quivers filled with twenty or thirty arrows and three riffles. We don't have enough hands!" Maya replied glaring at Riley.

"No just the Bows and quivers. There better then a knife," Riley said leaning down to pick up one of the bows and slinging one of the quivers onto her back.

"Fine! Come on, lets go," Maya snapped slinging the quiver onto her back and grabbing the bow.

Maya turned round and stormed out the door, Riley hot on her heels. They walked out the door to find a clear street, no one in sight.

"Brilliant! One day in to the apocalypse and we're already separated from each other!" Riley yelled stomping out the door.

"Oh come on! We'll find them again!" Maya replied rolling her eyes.

"Hopefully. Hopefully we'll find them again," Riley whispered.

"Lets head west. We might be able to find something but we should wait until dark," Maya whispered back sitting down on the ground.

Riley walked towards Maya and sat down next to her, shrugging her bag of in the process. She unzipped her bag and pulled out two sandwiches and two packets of crisps, giving Maya a sandwich and a packet of crisps she started eating.

"Thanks," Maya mumbled.

"Hey. We'll find them. We have to," Riley whispered.

Both girls sat in silence whilst the finished of their meal. Maya finished first and laid down on the ground.

"Wake me when it's dark," Maya said, closing her eyes.

"Got it," Riley replied.
