"Yeah? Well you almost did!" Alexa yelled stepping forward, ready to hit Connor.

"I didn't mean too! It kinda just happened," Connor said, mumbling the last part.

"It kinda just happened! It kinda just happened! You did not just say that," Alexa said.

"OK. Before we start fighting, maybe we should get out of this hospital!" Melody screamed.

"Fine! We will split up. Riley with Kayla, Melody with Alexa, Mai with Tess, Victoria with Belle, Emma with Connor, try not to shoot anyone else, Josh with Dan. I'll go with Maya," Said jack.

"Do we just leave Lewis here then?" Asked Kayla.

"I guess," Jack said.

"Come on the Riley. Lets go find an exit," Kayla said, storming out the door.

Riley followed Kayla into the hallway and down the corridor. Although slow, Riley caught up with Kayla. She was defiantly annoyed. Her face was set in a scowl and her feet stomped on the ground.

"Look, I know you're annoyed but you're letting that blind you from our goal!" Riley hissed.

"I hit him round the head Ri..." Kayla started.

"You were trying to save him Kayla!" Riley yelled.

"I know, but I feel like I made the wrong choice. Maybe he would have been better fighting that zombie on his own!" Kayla mumbled.

"What? You seriously think that! If you had left him on his own he would have turned into a zombie as well. Is that better Kayla? Would that really have been better?" Riley asked.

Both girls walked in silence for a while.

"Riley?" Kayla asked.

"Yeah?" Riley replied.

"You know how in movies bad things tend to happen in abandoned places?" Kayla said.

"Yeah?" Riley replied once again.

"And you know how those abandoned places are normally buildings like hospitals?" By know both girls were facing each other.

"Someone's gonna die aren't they?" Riley asked.

Suddenly the lights flickered and a loud scream echoed through the building.

"You had to say something Riley. You just had to say something!" Kayla yelled as the girls sprinted towards the source of the noise.

Both girls ran until they bumped into everyone. Jack and Maya were the first to be found, followed shortly by Melody and Alexa who had already found Emma and Connor. The others started to appear but Josh and Mai were nowhere to be found.

"Where are Mai and Josh?" Alexa asked, turning to face Dan.

"I don't know where Josh is. He was with me one minute and gone the next,: Dan mumbled, trying to get away form Alexa's cold stare.

"And Mai?" Kayla asked, facing Tess.

"Disappeared!" Tess said.

"Well that's strange," Riley said.

"I'm here! I'm here!" Josh yelled, coming down the hall, "Sorry about the scream, there were zombies going to the East wing!"

"What? That's where Lewis is!" Kayla cried, running of.

"Now what do we do?" Asked Connor.

"Well do you want the stupid option or the smart option?' Riley asked.

"The smart option!" Said Connor.

"Go fight some zombies and find a way out of here," Riley said simply.

"And the stupid option?" Dan asked.

"Chase after Kayla!" Riley shrugged.

"Well I'm chasing after Kayla!" Alexa yelled, running after Kayla.

"I guess that's what the rest of us are doing too then," Connor said, following Kayla and Alexa with the others close behind.

They ran. And ran. And ran. Always on the look out for The Infected. Kayla couldn't be found though, she was probably with Lewis already.

Finally, the teenagers found the East wing. Kayla and Lewis were huddled in a corner, surrounded by The Infected. And like that, everyone snapped into action. Arrows and knives went flying and the echo of bullets was heard. One by one the zombies dropped to the floor, but more were coming.

" We have to go now!" Melody yelled.

"Yep! Lets go," Josh said, pulling Melody towards him.

"Fine, come on Riley!" Connor said, dragging Riley, Josh and Melody outside.

"Ugh! What about us?" Alexa called.

"Yeah! Just leave us why don't you," Das said as he and Alexa followed.

"Wait for us!" Maya yelled, as everyone else ran after the teenagers.

With help from Jack, Kayla managed to drag Lewis out of the room.

"Hey! Don't all hospitals have doors on the roof?" Maya yelled.

"Yeah its probably just up here!" Connor yelled.

"There! The door's just up there, Melody cried, running towards the door.

"You sure?" Josh asked, coming up behind her.

A giant sign with "roof" on it was plastered on the door.

"Yeah, I'm sure," Melody answered.

Connor stepped forward and opened the door. He then began walking up the stairs, still dragging Riley with him. Alexa ran up behind them and pulled Riley away from Connor.

"Stop dragging her around!" She yelled.

"I'm just trying to make sure she can walk!" he yelled back.

"Guys," Riley said.

"She can walk fine on her own!" Alexa said, ignoring Riley.

"She lost a lot of blood! She's probably feeling faint," Connor replied.

"Guys," Riley tried again.

"And who's fault was that!" Alexa yelled, " She's got enough going on in her life without you needing to make it worse!"

What do you mean by that?" Connor asked.

All the girls stood still and silent. Nobody dared to say another word, not after Alexa's outburst. The boys turned to face Riley, each one of them expecting her to say something.

"Nothing! She mans nothing," Riley said, " Come on. I don't know about you but I kind of want to get out of this hospital now,"

"Yeah. Lets go," Josh said pushing past Connor and Riley and stomping up the stairs.

Everybody followed, and awkward tension passing between them all. No one said anything; they just looked at the floor, counting the stairs as they climbed. But, at that moment, climbing up the darkened stairs surrounded by her friends, Riley couldn't help feeling like she was being watched. Like something was following her.
