Old Friend

"Se--Sehun?" she gasps

"Jisoo? wha--" Sehun replies

She immediately pushes Taehyung off.

"What--how? I mean, what are you doing here?" she asks

"Do you know him?" Taehyung asks being surprised by how nervous Jisoo looks all of  sudden

"I do-- I--" Jisoo stutters but Sehun answers instead of her

"Of course she knows me, she is an old friend" he smirks and walks inside

"Cousinnn, it's been such a long time. The moment aunt sent me pictures of you and your lovely fiance, I spared no time and rushed here to greet the new member of our family" he says putting huge emphasis on the last part of the sentence

Jisoo doesn't even know if he is actually here or if she's just dreaming

After greeting Taehyung, Sehun looks at her

"Hi, Jisoo. I always wondered where you ran off but never expected you to be here. Good to see you, old friend. I can't wait to catch up with you, afterall I have all the time in the world for you, only you" he says and puts his hand forward for a handshake

Jisoo is as nervous as anyone can imagine but she tries to mask it off with a smile. She doesn't want Taehyung to find out anything about her past.

"Hi, I am so happy to see you after all this time too" she says nervously and shakes his hand

He holds her hand rather tightly and whispers "Are you really?"

Taehyung notices their *way-too-long* handshake and intervenes

"How did the two of you become friends?" he asks trying to understand their dynamics more because something clearly looks suspicious between them

"Hang on cousin, we have a lot of time to discuss these. What's the rush? I'll tell you all about our history but first let me go and greet everyone" Sehun replies not giving Jisoo any chance to respond

"See you around babe---uh sorry, my bad, I meant, Jisoo" he says and looks at Jisoo

Jisoo's heart sinks hearing that word, it's been a while since she heard him call her that. She is falling deep into the mess she created. She has left this man at his worst and now he is back to haunt her.

Taehyung clenches his fist after hearing Sehun calling Jisoo "Babe"

"I think you should try to get used to calling her your sister-in-law, afterall she is my fiance first and your friend later" he says but Sehun laughs it off

"It's just an inside joke between us Taehyung, calling each other babe, pretending to care about each other, being affectionate towrards each other, it all an inside joke, you won't get it. Anyways I feel like I was interrupting you two, carry on with whatever you were doing. I'll catch up later" he says and walks out. But while leaving he gets one last look at Jisoo, the girl who stole her heart the first time he saw her, the one he could give everything up for. She looks miserable but even at her worst she radiates an energy Sehun can't refuse. He felt sheer hatred for Jisoo when he saw the pictures with Taehyung

What does he feel now? The same hatred? or revenge? or anger? or Jealousy? or an unrequited love?

As soon as Sehun closes the door, Taehyung turns to Jisoo

"What the fuck was that?" he says but Jisoo is still at a daze

"I don--" she says but words fail to come out of her mouth

"He is only an old friend?" he asks and stands right in front of her

"y--yes"

"Are you sure? Nothing you want to tell me about?"
