"C'mon, y'all," Dorinda spoke as she got out of her car. Loren, Skie, and Karen followed her into the grocery store. Karen grabbed a buggy as Dorinda read off the list that Jacky had given to them for their sleep over.
"Get that," Dorinda pointed to a case of water. Loren bent down to help Dorinda pick it up, as Skie cleared her throat.
"Sooo, how's stuff been living with Aaron? She cool?" Skie asked, making Karen laugh.
"Now, Skie, you know good & well that girl's name is not Aaron," She laughed some more, as they strolled down the aisle.
"Hell, what is it then?" Skie's face scrunched up, making Dorinda laugh too.
"It's Arys, Skie," Loren answered, shaking her head, "Y'all must be beefing or something? Cause you sure act like you don't like her,"
Skie shrugged, "It's not that I don't like her, she just has a strange aura. Her energy is off, but maybe that's just me,"
Loren shook her head, "Skie, just try to get to know the girl a little first. She might be nicer than you think. I mean, she has been through a lot recently," She spoke, being reasonable.
Karen nodded in agreement as they turned onto another aisle.
"She is a little strange," Dorinda mumbled, as her eyes scanned the shelves.
"What, Doe?" Loren questioned, looking down at her & causing the other girls to do the same.
"I said, she's a little strange is all," Dorinda shrugged, standing back up & motioning for Karen to keep moving.
"Well, what made you say that?" Karen asked, curiously.
They all thought Arys was a bit strange. A quiet type of strange. A socially awkward type of strange. Loren & Karen figured that she just couldn't interact with people well. But, Dorinda & Skie saw her as a different type of strange, that neither of them could quite put their finger on yet.
"When we were about to go skating the other day, she walked in on me about to get in the shower. & she just like.. stood there & stared at me for a while before walking off," Dorinda explained, as they continued to walk through the store.
"Like, she just looked at you?" Karen's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"Yes,"
"You mean like, a shocked & embarrassed type of look-" Karen started , but stopped.
"An apologetic type of look?" Loren questioned, adding onto Karen's question.
"Or, was it a she wants you type of look?" Skie snickered, making them all shoot her a look.
"I don't know. It was like a mixture of all of them, but I just found her standing there kind of weird," Dorinda shrugged, "Now, hurry up before Jacky & Twinkie get to calling," She said, trying to brush it off again.
Meanwhile, Jacky & Twinkie were back at the house with the guys, trying to spark up conversation with Arys.
"So, Arys, I know we haven't been here much but have Karen & Dorinda made you feel at home?" Jacky questioned, as she began dicing up fruit for a fruit tray. Twinkie washed off the fruits before passing them off to Jacky for cutting.
