And adding salt to the wound, just a couple weeks after breakup, Cynthia had began dating fellow regional champion Lance of the Kanto and Johto region and the first ever champion of Alola don't know what's worse that could happen next next.
He jinxed himself at this point.
To break his already shattered heart even further, he was invited to the Galarian Dream Tournament where other regional champions and a few regional Pokémon League members are invited to be paired up and fight against each other. Y/n hoped, prayed, and wished he wouldn't be seeing his ex there.
But nope, fate is cruel as it can get and Cynthia along with her new boyfriend Lance is there to attend the tournament.
