Kotlc Role play Part Two

Yuna walked down the hallway at foxfire, trying to prepare herself for her telepathy training. She knew what was going to happen. She was going to see Ignis. And she was going to explode. She didn't know if it would be with anger, longing, or a deep pitted dread, but either way, it was going to happen. Foxfire was filled with so much drama, especially since the whole "chosen one" fiasco. There were a lot of people claiming to be the chosen one, though some of the more popular theories included Noctem, Emmie, Loli, Stella, Jolie, Caden, and many more. And, what with that, Neil was still acting really weird. Yuna didn't really know him, but she sort of knew Emmie, and that they had been together, and that Axel had a black eye because of him.

Yuna took a deep breath to clear her mind and ready herself, before stepping inside the classroom. She looked around and saw a couple of students in level two and three. And there he was....Ignis. Yuna immediately stood at the opposite side of the room, purposefully next to a cute boy, which she thought might annoy Ignis. The boy's level three foxfire jacket said "Josh" on it. "Hello everyone!" Said Tiergan, holding some kind of fuzzy gadget. "Today we are going to be testing out mental abilities, using this gadget. All you have to do is use as much energy as you can and focus it on the gadget. Imagine your mental wall knocking into this ball with as much force as possible. Then I'm going to different telepaths in pairs. This exercise is to truly know your mental power, and to find if there are ay possible cognates in amongst the level two's and three's. Now, who would like to go first?" Asked Tiergan. Ace's hand shot in the air and he was called to the front. 

Tiergan held the fuzzy gadget close to his head. "3......2.......1....." Ace closed his eye's in concentration, and a crease formed between his brows. A number flashed on the screen as he opened his eyes. 265. Tiergan nodded, impressed. Next was Cara. Even Hydra could see Ace watching her intently. He definitely didn't want her to beat him. Cara clenched her eye's shut and took a deep steadying breath. "3......2......1....." 276. Cara grinned, and Ace clenched his jaw. Next, Molly took to the stage. She was as calm as every and smiled humbly as a 251 flashed across the screen. Next was Josh, the cute boy I had stood by. He got a 247 and Emmie's ex, Jacob, got a 239. Next, was Ignis. 

I couldn't stop myself from clenching my fists as Tiergan began to count down. I couldn't let him beat me. I couldn't let him have the upper hand. The gadget beeped and a 258 appeared. Ignis smiled, although she could tell he was a little annoyed at having been beat. Finally, it was my turn. I stepped forwards, taking a deep breath and pressing my hands to my sides to stop them from shaking. My stomach was a mess of knots as Tiergan brought the gadget close to my face. At three I summoned as much mental force as I could, imagined it was a tornado, and sent it hurling towards the gadgets sensors. I slowly opened my eye's, and my heart sped up as I saw the number on the gadget. 286.

I slowly walked back, feeling my cheeks heat up as Josh gave me a quick high five. I could feel everyone's stares on me. "Okay, wonderful!" Tiergan said, after the rest of the class had gone. I still held the top spot. "My systems are calculating who will be the best cognates. He pointed towards a long screen, that was loading something. It finally loaded and my heart dropped.

"Let's have Yuna and Josh, Molly and Cara, Ignis and Jacob-" Began Tiergan. My head was spinning. I could see her name next to Ignis's. But I couldn't process it. How could we be cognates? "-get together and use the gadgets to test your mental power together." Tiergan clapped his hands and I walked over to Josh. "Charming ey? Lets hope there's something in a last name." I said, crossing her arms but smiling. Josh gave a charmingly crooked grin and did a little curtsy. "That's me! Charming, and at your service." I grabbed a fuzzy gadget. "Then let's get to work." 

I held the gadget between them, and opened my mind up to Josh. I flinched and rubbed my temples as an avalanche of thoughts poured into my brain. "Livvy, ey? She seems cute." I said, while listening to Josh's current of thoughts. Josh flushed. I counted down to three, and felt my mental energy mix with Josh's, spinning, electric, flashing, out of control, at the sensors. I opened my eye's and read the number. 429. Josh gave me a little fist bump. Next, I moved towards Ignis. No words were spoken as I held the sensor close to our heads and reluctantly opened my mind to his.

It was eerily silent, with the whisper of an occasional thought.

Am I worthless?

                 What do I deserve?

     

Why should I be loved?

                                                  Am I loved?

Until the thought's grew louder and louder.

Who am I? What do I believe in? Why should I be loved? Am I loved? Who loves me? Who do I love? Do I love Dipity? Do I love Yuna? What do I deserve? Do I deserve Dipity? Does she deserve me? Why am I here? Why is she here? What is happening? Why can't things be like they were? Why didn't I kiss her? Should I have kissed her? What are the Neverseen planning? What if I fail? Why are they targeting me? What if they kill me? Who will miss me? Who won't miss me?

I rubbed her temples and combined his thought's with mine. With Josh, we had made a huge tornado, but with Ignis, it was a full on storm, swirling so fast and eating up so much space in my mind, I almost forgot what my name was. We hurled it at the sensors, so fast and sharp that sparks flew from the gadget. When I opened my eye's, I couldn't do anything but stare. 964. The image on the screen updated, and murmurs gushed around the room.

I could feel everyone's stares. I'm sure Ignis can feel them too. "Well, it looks like we have three possible cognate pairs. Yuna and Ignis, Molly and Jacob, and Cara and Ace." He waves for us to get up, and the six of us walk to the front of the class. I feel like vomiting. This can't be happening.
