Chapter 6

Three days after my mission with Alfa it was time for me to team up with Kilo. I felt a bit awkward since I have met Kilo only once and now, I have to join him on a mission for the whole day. Like what do we even talk about? I guess I could ask about his life but here in the mafia you aren't allowed to share a lot. I drove my motorcycle to the mansion that served as the headquarters of the inner circle. Kilo was there waiting for me in a formal suit. Shit. I didn't know I had to dress formally.

"Ready for today, X-ray?"

"Well, if I look at you, I feel like I might be a little underdressed."

"Well, I don't have your phone number to text, yet which is my bad for not asking for it a few days ago. Anyways I figured you wouldn't automatically come in a suit, so I brought a spare one. I think we are about the same size so you should be fine."

"Thanks, I'll quickly change into it then."

Kilo handed over the spare suit and I looked around the room. I wasn't really familiar with this mansion so I didn't know what room I should go to or could go to. After a few seconds of thinking I was like fuck it, I know no shame. I just started taking off my clothes in the common room. I saw that Kilo was trying really hard not to look and I thought that was kind of funny. He noticed me struggling with the tie and offered his help. November came walking in the room and I pushed Kilo's hands away.

"Hey, beautiful."

"Hey X-ray. So, you are going with Kilo today?"

"Yes, but don't you feel disappointed you will get your turn too."

"Yeah, sure can't wait."

I smiled at her and she smiled back. O god I can't wait to spend some time alone with her. I will get her to fall for me, nobody can resist my charms. I turn back to Kilo and let him finish my tie. I saw November and Kilo share a look before November left the room again.

"All done. You look good in a suit, X-ray."

"Well, thank you, you don't look half bad yourself. Here give me your phone before I forget to give you my number again."

He handed me his phone and I added myself to his contacts.

"Don't you have, like, a group chat with all of us?"

"Not yet but we could make one. At least if it is for fun and not serious business because we can't discuss those things over the phone."

"I'll make one right now, if you can add November to it?"

"Is this a sneaky way of getting her number?"

"No."

Kilo didn't seem to believe my answer but made no comment on it. I made the group chat and told Kilo he could add November and he did. I quickly added her number to my contacts in case she left the chat. With that all out of the way we were set to go. Kilo drove us to one of his many casinos. He told me that since he joined the inner circle that he mostly just watches over the casinos and doesn't do a lot of the dealing himself at the different tables. He does organise and deal for the illegal gambling games sometimes. We arrived at the first casino and just walked around a bit. Kilo was checking every one of his dealers while I just stood standby. When we went to the second casino a dispute was going on. A woman was screaming for the manager. Kilo and I went over to her and asked what the problem was. She complained that she lost all of her money because the dealer was cheating. When Kilo assured the woman that that wouldn't be possible because he checks his staff constantly, the woman lost it and started rampaging the machines. I quickly restrained her, and she was struggling against my grip. I picked her up and escorted her out of the building. The whole time she wouldn't stop screaming. Once outside I put her down and let her go. She screamed some more before finally leaving and telling us she would never come back. I looked back at Kilo who had followed me to the door.
