A GIBBOUS MOON

Chapter 10

We caught Whiskey up with everything we had been doing since they were in a coma. After that we were discussing what we should do next because we can't just keep killing the lower members of La eMe forever. They get replaced in an instant and the only thing we are doing is slightly annoying them. An idea popped in my head.

"Go big or go."

"What do you mean?"

"Let's take down La eMe from the inside and destroy their whole organisation."

"That will just start a gang war and then our bosses will kill us."

"Not if we do it well and at once."

"What do you propose?"

"We first need to gather information about them. Figure out who the higher ups are and such. If we kill all the leaders, La eMe will fall with it."

"Easier said than done."

"Just wait and see. You guys go on with what we are doing now, and I will look for the information we need."

"Alright, surprise us."

They continued the normal routine we had going on since Whiskey was in a coma only this time Whiskey took my place and went with November to the various locations where a deal was taking place. I decided to first try my luck with the bosses and look there for information. I walked to their office and knocked on the big wooden doors like I had done so long ago. They told me to come in and I did.

"What do you want?"

"I want information on La eMe, everything you have."

"And why would we give that to you?"

"Because I have a plan on how to destroy La eMe for once and for all."

"And what is that plan?"

"I can't elaborate on that."

"Then we can't give you the information."

"Fine, I'll find it myself."

"You know what happens if you start a gang war."

"I am aware."

With that I left the office. It would have been an easy win if they just gave me the information, but I got what I wanted, nonetheless. They admitted they had information and that is all I needed to know. Maybe Alfa knows where they store their information. They must keep it somewhere so they could use it against La eMe if needed, I just need to find where. I waited in the common room till Alfa returned from his spying mission. November and Whiskey had already left, and Kilo was in a sort of office leading all coms. It would take Alfa another half an hour to return so I went to annoy Kilo for a bit. We had upgraded to using body cams so Kilo could keep a watch on everything and warn them if they didn't see something. I hugged Kilo from behind as he sat in the chair. I could see on the camera that Alfa was driving and so were November and Whiskey. I noticed that Alfa was nearly back at the mansion, so I left Kilo and waited for Alfa by the door. After 5 minutes he finally came walking in.

"Alfa, can I ask you something?"

"Yeah, what is it?"

"Do you know where the bosses store all of their information? Like do they store it on paper or online?"

"Whenever they gave me information for my undercover missions it was always on paper."

"And do you know where those documents are stored then?"

"Let me think."

It was quiet for a full minute, and I could see that Alfa was digging in his memory. You could see the moment of realisation on his face, and I just knew he knew it.
