 BOTSWANA

It was evening in Botswana. The sky was now closer to a darker blue color with stars decorating the sky. It was particularly windy tonight. As the wind swept through a green grassy field, causing the grass to produce a whooshing sound. Right in the middle of the grassy field, was a dog who held a straight stance and a curious gaze on the field of grass, that was on the opposite side of the river.

The dog kept his gaze on the field, ears perked up, curious about what's making that- "Murdoch! Come here boy!", a female voice can be heard, causing the dog to snap his head and gaze to one of his owners. A female figure came into view. She had black hair with light purple streaks, which complimented her brown eyes and skin. She wore a black long sleeve button down shirt with green khaki pants, and a brown belt with gold outlining to tie the look together. She had on sliver chain earrings and a necklace that had a giraffe with an amethyst, her birthstone, ingraved in it. She started walking toward the dog known as Murdoch with a smile, while said dog turned its head back toward the field across the river, continuing trying to find out what making- "what's the matter boy? Huh? Whatcha looking at?" the girl said with the same smile, sounding playful yet curious. The dog gave up his search, and instead walked toward the female with his tail wagging, the intention of being pet. The female bent down to pet the dog, scratching his fur, while the dog lent against her legs, letting out a whimper. "Hey shhh, shhh" the girl said, trying to calm down her dog, as she glanced at the field across the river with a raised eyebrow. Murdoch followed the womans gaze and they both curiously looked toward the field, wondering what's that strange sound. They can hear some sort of deranged growling but there's no sight of an animal.

"Hey it's ok, there's nothing out there." The girl tried to sooth the dog, but it was in vain as the dog started barking rapidly. Murdoch became frightened. He started whimpering, hiding against the girls leg, While the girl squinted her eyes trying to find that poor animal making the destrubing sound. "Hey Dock, hey quit your whimpering, eh?" The girl said, turning her gaze back to her dog, petting him once more. "Let's get back to camp. Come on. Come on Dock." But Murdoch held a tight gaze towards on the field. "Hey Dock, come on!" The girl called again with a smile painted on her face, as she started walking backwards, waiting for the dog to follow. Finally the dog followed his owner, both heading towards their camp.

                     Los Angeles

The sun was beginning to rise in L.A creating an orange-ish blue sky replacing the once dreadful dark sky. The streets were all ready busy with people walking either trying to get to work or taking their dog on an early walk. Cars raced past each other on the roads causing loud whooshing sounds and sirens can be heard miles away, meaning there was already trouble. On the corner of one of the streets of L.A a brightly lit shop stood out, the sign on the glass door, telling people they are a deli which is open for 24 hours. Through it looks like not many people were inside-

"Thanks Mr. Delmar!" A woman yelled, the sound echoing through the air. A young woman, who looks to be in their twenties pushed the door open with her back, exiting the deli with a smile. She's wearing a white wool sweater pairing it with black leggings. In her left hand shes holding, to which looks to be, one bag filled with two sandwiches and a few packets of condiments, and in her right is tray filled with 2 steaming cups of coffee. She takes a moment to straighten her stance before walking forward with the intention of getting home fast to her roommate so they can enjoy the breakfast sandwiches she bought. The girls eyes glanced through the street, as her hair swayed to the rhythm of the wind.

As the girl continued walking home she could of swore she heard someone yell. She stopped walking for a moment, looking around, trying to find the source of the sound. After a minute or two of waiting, she couldn't hear anything. 'Maybe it was my imagination' she thought. 'I got to get more sleep' and with that thought and a wince from the girl, she, with a much faster pace, continued on her way home trying to stay awake. Little does she know it wasn't her imagination.....
