[NAME] TURNED on her heel, facing obanai himself. "thank you for today," she said with a soft smile— her cheeks were flushed, but her heart was picking up the pace the more she interacted with the boy. "say hi to kaburamaru for me when you get home, alright?" she said.
"alright," obanai smiled sweetly at her. "about the crush thing earlier," obanai mentioned out of the blue. "i– i think i'm no match for her," he commented with eyes brimming with a tint of disappointment and sorrow. "what do you mean by that?" [name] raised an eyebrow. "i'm not worthy to be with her, she deserves so much more than a low-witted boy like me," obanai said as he heaved out a heavy sigh.
a knife stabbed through [name]'s heart as she felt pain soaring through her heart when she had heard him said those words about himself. it hurt her more than anything to know that obanai had doubted his worth. "obanai..." [name] trailed off silently, but a hand was placed out to stop her sentence. he knew she was going to talk him off about self-love. "i think i should just move on from her," obanai trailed off hesitantly.
"i know, i know, i'm not a low-witted boy, but it's just that i'm just a boy and she's — she's a lady," obanai said as his eyes glowed with a certain twinkle in those mismatched hues. "she deserves the world," obanai said as he leaned over the door frame, his face was now inches away from her face, his cologne wafted into her nose as it gave a sense of home.
"really? is that how much you love her?" she asked with gleaming [e/c] eyes— but it was hidden by flames of jealousy that burnt in her [e/c] hues. obanai hummed in agreement. "she means the world to me, i don't know what i'd do without her today," obanai strayed off silently before he huffed, pushing himself off the doorframe. "i'll go for now, it's going to get late very soon. the sun is already setting," obanai said quietly.
"don't ask me more about her anymore, because it's no use. i've decided that i'll move on from her today," obanai said firmly with his final decision. he was hesitant to move on from [name], the one who he truly had fallen for— but she was too good for him, she was too— perfect. it felt impossible to be compatible with her, being in a relationship together with him is nothing but going to stain her perfectness.
at least, that's what obanai thought.
as obanai strayed away further, [name] continuously waved at his figure that goes smaller by the second that goes by. "i wish," [name] muttered as her hand fell, she leaned on to the doorframe as she watched silently, into the distance. obanai was no longer in her field of vision. "i wish— i'll be the girl you'll fall into," [name] heaved out a sigh before she shivered, a cold breeze settled. it made the hair on the back of her neck rise.
there was a gut-feeling, something agonizing will happen soon. she could feel it.
