Chapter 2

October 17th, 1954
Elvis's POV:
Last Night was the best night ever, besides the fact Rose and I performed last night on the Hayride. I kissed Rose and it was amazing, we kissed for two long minutes before we pulled apart and said goodbye to one another. After she left, I couldn't stop thinking about her. Well, I never stop thinking about her even when I'm with Dixie. I was getting dressed when there was a knock on my door.

" Come in," I said admiring my outfit in the mirror

Billy walks in and sat on my bed wearing a mischievous grin on his face.

"What do you do this time Billy?" I asked him still fixing myself up

" Oh, I didn't do anything, but you did," Billy said with a smile

"What exactly did I do," I said confused

"Made out with Rose last night even though you have a girlfriend," Billy said with a smirk

I look at him with a shocked expression on my face .how did he know about the kiss?

"Billy, what are talking you about ?" I asked pretending to be confused at what he just said

"You know exactly what I'm talking about YOU KISSED ROSE "Billy shouted

"Shut up !" I yelled quickly closing my door, so no one else heard us

"How do you know I kissed Rose last night? "I asked him

"I saw you guys through the window, "Billy said

"Okay, Billy you can't tell anyone about what happened especially Dixie or Mama you got it," I said grabbing him by the shoulders

"Relax I won't tell anyone, but I thought you liked Dixie what happened? "Billy asked

"I do like Dixie just not like that anymore, "I said

"So are you going to break up with her ?'' Billy asked

"I don't know yet," I said

Just then my daddy opens the door

"Boys Dinner's almost ready can you help Dixie and Rose set the table

"Sure, daddy, you coming? "Billy said, getting up and heading toward the door.

"Um in a sec," I said

Billy left and closed the door behind him, I sat on my bed for minutes and thought about what my daddy just said both my girlfriend and my best friend whom I kissed are both here. This was going to be a long night. I got up and took a deep breath before opening the door and heading into the dining room.

"Hey darling, "Dixie said greeting me with a kiss on the cheek

"Hi," I said

"That's it no Hi doll," Dixie said sounding a little upset

"Oh hi doll, "I said insincerely

Just then Rose walks into the dining room wearing a beautiful flower print and her hair down with a white headband on. I walk over to her.

"Hey Bumble bee can we talk for a sec," I said

"oh sure, "Rose said

we walk away and go into my room I open the door for her and close it behind me.

"What did you want to talk about? "Rose asked sitting on the edge of my bed

"About last night, "I said standing near my dresser and playing with my bracelet
