PSYCHO???

CHAPTER TWELVE

LEE TAEMIN
       I hung up and dropped my phone. I pulled myself up to sit on the hard floor of the sauna. Earlier at my house, someone had gotten in and I had a feeling that it was the same person who had been following and watching me.
       Earlier, I was getting ready for bed when I heard someone subtly making their way up the stairs. At first I thought it was mum but she had called earlier, saying that she wouldn't be coming home tonight.

        I walked over to the window and peered out. There was a car parked a little distance from my house.The parking position was a little off and it spiked something in me. I grabbed the journals and tucked them under my shirt. I could feel cold sweat break on my forehead as I crawled under the bed after turning off the lights. The footsteps got closer and closer and my heart almost jumped out of my chest. My phone suddenly started ringing and I panicked as I tried to turn it off.
  
        I could see the light coming in from the corridor, through the open door. I watched from under the bed, as a pair of huge feet made their way towards the light switch. I crawled out from under the bed and readied myself to run out of the room. I was about to make a run for it when he pulled me back by my hair. I squirmed around as he pushed me onto the wall. He pulled out a syringe from his pocket and raised it to my neck.

           " Aaaaargh!!!!!!"

He screamed as I sprayed the perfume I had managed to pick up, into his eyes. I rushed out of the room and headed for the stairs.

          " Ya! Get him"

I heard the man in the room yell, before I bumped my head on someone's chest. I looked up at the huge figure before me and gulped hard. He held me by my neck and pushed me against the wall. I felt the veins pop out on my head, as he slowly snuffed the life out of me. I scratched and clawed at his hands as I struggled to breathe. I saw him pull out a syringe and I felt fear....shear utter fear like never before. I flayed my hands furiously in a desperate attempt to survive and in that short moment where he lost his grip, I dug my fingers deep into his eyes.

           I fell to the ground, gasping and fighting for air. The other man in my room was out now and heading straight for me. I pulled myself up and ran into mum's room. I got into the room, locked the door and pushed the coffee table against it. The coffee table wasn't doing much to help so I had to think of something fast. I rushed over to the window and pulled the curtains apart. The door was shaking so forcefully that the coffee table started giving way. I opened the window and stared out. I stared at the door and then back at the window. The door was half way open and I was staring to panick. I climbed onto the window pane and took a deep breath. I was only one floor up anyway. The door flung open with a loud bang and I turned around. I crossed my fingers and jumped out. I fell hard on a car that was parked below and it felt like my whole body was being ripped apart. I groaned loudly as I held onto the back of my head. I looked down the path and saw someone step out of the oddly parked car. He was walking towards me now and I knew I had to leave that place. I gritted my teeth and rolled down from the car. I closed my eyes and held my left hand over my abdomen. I ran as fast I could towards the main street. I could hear them behind me and my heart rapidly thumped in my chest.
           " I can't die like "
I scanned the area with my eyes as I ran, looking for some kind of hiding place. I turned to my right and ran into the alley. I quickly rolled under a parked car and held my breath in fear. I heard the sound of their heavy footsteps and I tried to be as still as humanly possible. I could see their shadows come closer and closer until they stopped by the car.....Damn I really don't want to die on my birthday.
           " We're in so much trouble if we don't get him and those books "
           " Do you think the detective had any luck with the other boy?"
           " I hope so. We can't all go back with nothing "
            " That fucking bastard Lee Kwangsoo. We are going through all this trouble just because of his foolishness "
             " Come on.....let's go"
I let out a sigh of relief as soon as they left. I waited for a while, before rolling out from under the car. They were talking about my dad just now. What detective are they talking about?
    I decided that staying here was too dangerous, so I went to a sauna. I got to the sauna and sat in a corner with my sleeping bags. I pushed the journals under the pillow and took out my phone.
         " Is Eunsoo okay?"
         " They were talking about him right?"
I groaned as I felt a sharp pain in my back. My whole body was aching so much but I'd been to focused on hiding, that I didn't even notice it.
My phone suddenly started ringing and I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw the caller ID

       " Eunsoo "
He hung up before I could take the call so I had to call him back.

UNKNOWN POV
      I punched him and pinned him to the wall, in a fit of rage. I threw a punch to his stomach and held him by the neck.
        " What's so hard about killing a kid? Do you know what his father has told him? He had the guts to make a ruckus at the station, because he knows something "
    I threw another punch that sent him to the ground. I bent down and grabbed him by the hair.
            " I told you to watch him detective and you are fucking up already. Remember you are a traitor too and I will not hesitate to get rid of you and your family"
            " I'm sorry sir "
          " Get me that boy and kill whoever stands in your way...asides Kwangsoo's son"
            " Yes sir"
          " And get me those journals for fuck's sake. Detective I'm leaving it up to you to get them and I believe it would be no problem at all. Am I right detective? "
I said as I led him to sit with me on the sofa. I handed him a glass of wine as we took our seats.
                 " I'll get them sir"
               " You better do or you might be killing a member of your family....again. Hahaha"

LEE TAEMIN
         I got to the house at dawn and walked in quietly. Mum still wasn't back. I walked around the house, checking every perimeter without losing my grip on the stick. When I was sure it was safe, I hurried to my room and changed into my uniform. I rushed over to Mom's room to see how scattered it was. The coffee table was still a few inches from the door and a few drawers were open, clothes were lying on the ground and the room was a total mess.
          "Just what the fuck did my dad have going on with these guys?"
         "I have to find out exactly what it is that Uncle Byung is hiding...He knows something we don't. I just hope it's not what it looks like "
       I hurriedly tidied up the room and applied the patches and band aids on the cuts and bruises. I rushed out of the door and headed straight for school. I had walked a few meters when my phone began to ring. I pulled it out of my pocket and checked the caller I.d before answering.
        "Eunsoo "
      "Hey uhmm...call me when you are done with school. I'll pick you up "
        "It's fine I..."
        "call me. I don't want you getting in danger because of me and besides, we have to talk "
         "Okay. Goodluck "
        "You too"
     I shoved the phone back into my pocket as soon as he hung up. I couldn't stop the smile that played on my lips and I felt my cheeks get hot.
        "Get your head in the game Taemin. He's probably just doing it because he doesn't want anyone dying on his behalf Now's not the time to be soft "
         I shook my head and increased my pace. I didn't want to be late for the Exam. I still couldn't wrap my head around what I saw in the Journal,but I decided not to act on it until I had read the entire book or Maybe I'm not just ready to accept the fact that I know nothing about my dad and Uncle. I don't think Eunsoo and Mom should know about this until I was sure. I let out a deep breath and I sat on the bus.
