PSYCHO???

CHAPTER THIRTY THREE

LEE TAEMIN

         " Taemin! Are you okay? Is everyone okay? "

Mum asked as she pulled the car to a stop and turned to us. Minho busied himself with wiping Taeri's tear stained face while Deokhwa and I just stared blankly at mum.

         " We're fine mum ". I said

I threw my head back on the seat and closed my eyes. Suddenly my phone chimed. I had two new messages from Eunsoo and an unknown number. My heart thumped loudly in my chest as I opened Eunsoo's text message.

              * Taemin I'm scared *. Tears welled up in my eyes as I looked at the screen.

I opened the second text message, feeling a bit skeptical.
    
          * Taemin....go to this location and get Eunsoo before he does something he'll regret for the rest of his life *

KYUNG EUNSOO

          I looked around the small room as I paced around it. I took a deep breath and took my bloodied clothes off. I picked out some clothes from a small drawer in the corner of the and changed into it. The black top was a little tight around my arms and chest and the pants hung loosely on my waist. I raked my fingers through my hair before pulling it up into a bun.

         I  tried to ignore the pain in my abdomen as I loaded up the gun and swung it over my shoulder. I caught a glimpse of myself in a small mirror, in a far corner of the room and I could barely recognize myself. My eyes were puffy and my lips were charred and white. I feel like a shell, hollow and empty. I know what I'm about to do is wrong but I can't just let him be. I took one last around and then pulled out my phone and sent a text to Taemin.

         I slowly pushed the door open and went up into the woman's room as quietly as possible. I walked over to the blinds and peeped out of them. The long corridor seemed empty, so I poked my head out a little before fully exiting the room. I walked down the corridor, heading for the open space I saw last night and almost immediately, I bumped into a guard. He immediately tried to reach for his gun but I knocked him out with the base of my gun and dragged him into her room.

         " Hey newbie! Boss asked you to bring these up to him "

        " Oh....where is he? "

        " He is up in his study "

        " Alright. I'll go after I throw these out "

I quietly watched as the guards parted ways and suddenly came up with a crazy idea. I swapped clothes with the guard on the floor and pulled a nose mask over my face after adjusting the microphone I found on him. I wasn't sure if it was going to work but I had to give it a try. I walked out of the room and shut the door gently behind me, waiting for the guard to return.
            " Ya.....where have you been? Let's hurry up before the boss gets mad ". I said casually as the guard walked through the door and over to me.

            " What? "

          " The documents for the boss ". I said and turned my back to him.

           " Ahhh right. I almost forgot ". He said with a hearty laugh and began walking away.

I realeased the breath I had been holding all along,as he walked ahead of me. We had taken only taken a few steps when he suddenly stopped and turned around to face me.

          " What's with the mask? "

         " I came down with the cold a couple of days ago, but I couldn't take a sick day off because of how strict the boss is. You must not know since you're new "

         " Ahhh ....he was indeed very cold and frightening when I first met him "

          " I know right ". I said and patted his shoulder lightly.

He said and continued walking, while I balled my hand into a fist to prevent my shaky fingers from getting noticed. Cold sweat broke out on my forehead as we slowly made our way to the study.

        Luckily, there were no guards in front of the study and we both went in. I stood by the door, while the other guard went in to hand the documents to the boss. I looked around the room, to make sure that there was no one else there.

              " Let's go. I'm done "

The guard said as he walked out from a corner of the car. I looked at him apologetically before knocking him out with the base of my gun. I  walked towards the direction he came from and was soon standing before a really big door. I steadied my hand on my gun and opened the door slowly. I walked into the room and found him standing by the window, with his back to me.
   
            " I've been expecting you Eunsoo ".He said and slowly turned towards me.

I tore the mask away from my face and pulled my gun out and aimed at him as I boiled with rage. He smiled as he walked over to one of the chairs and sat in it.

           " I'm going to kill ". I said as I walked closer to him

          " Really? My men will be here any minute and if they find me dead, what do you think they will do to you? You're surrounded "

           " I don't care about what they'll do to me "

          " Then you'll probably care what they'll do to Taemin and the other pathetic people in your little group"

           " Don't you dare speak his name "

He laughed loudly and suddenly put on a serious expression.

          " You have two options. One, kill me and then watch everyone in your group die. Two, surrender and die on their behalf. You're a smart young man so I trust you'll make a wise decision "

I could hear the heavy footsteps of the guards running up the stairs now. I looked over at him and then at the gun in my hand....it felt strange how comfortable I had become with guns. There's only one way to end all of this after all.

          I dropped the gun on the table before him and took deep breaths as the door swung open and the guards rushed in.

LEE TAEMIN
     We got into the car of the policeman whose number we had gotten from the woman who texted me earlier and drove off with the other police cars behind us. I tried calling Eunsoo's line but it was switched off. I couldn't stop the dreadful feeling that slowly crept up my stomach as we drove towards the address we were given.

           " Please be alright "
