Ester Lyon was not your everyday girl

Ester Lyon was not your everyday girl. She attended finishing school pranked the head teacher and got expelled. From a young age she could tell she's was different from the other girls her age, she was never obsessed with boys, or wanted to wear pretty dresses, drink tea politely, cross stitch or string seashells. She's was adventurous and full of mischief.

Oh And how her parents wished to train it out of her! But no matter what they did she always found a way to get around there rules. To still be her. At lunch time she would go to climb trees and practice knife skills, and then after dinner her brother would sneak them both into the empty hall used for dances and balls and he would teach her to fight.

"Get out of this carriage!" The girl says once more. Firmer this time more anger behind it.

He looks at me for help with pleading eyes and I just shrug. I don't want to get kicked out of the carriage as well.

He sighs standing up straightening his blazer before moving toward some the door. "You remind me of my uncle." He says looking at the girl with a now bored expression on his face. Oh the old-ish guy! Slightly rude comparing a girl to him if you ask me. "He is bossy to. I left them all behind my mother, my grandmother. But I am fine. I am free."

I let my plain expression drop for just a second, he just wants to be free from his rich family that expect so much from him.

I can feel my self sympathizing with the boy. I wished for nothing more that to be free of my own family, well everyone expect my brother.

But quickly realizing that I dropped my rude expression I put it back up again.

"Good get out of this carriage then." The girl says again in a much softer voice. But her instruction was still the same.

The Viscount looked at the door, I notice that all the confidence he had had seconds ago, all the strong words vanished into nothing. But somehow he forces himself to grab the handle. "A man in a brown bowler hat, you say?"

He asks causing me and the girl to nod. He looks at both of us before taking a large intake of breathe and leaving.

The girl next to me sighs in relief. However I look towards the door counting the seconds that pass in my head.

Exactly 37 seconds later the boy comes back huffing and panting like he had never ran in his life. As soon as he regained a little breath he started babbling on about how the guy was coming.

I am quick to start moving the girl next to me does the same, I grip my luggage from the underneath the seat and head towards the exit. "Nice meeting you." I say in a deep voice and not long after me I hear the girl behind me do the same.

The brown bowler hat man shoves past us and moments later we both hear sound of struggle. Like they were fighting. And I definitely knew who would be losing. The girl eyes meet mine and she nods at me and I nod back.

Even though she believes me to be a boy and I don't even know her name, somehow we have made a pact to help this idiotic Viscount.

We both drop our bags running back to the compartment.

I am the first to slide the door open. What I see shocks me. The man was holding the boy out of the window as he was holding on for dear life to the open door. I look around the compartment my eyes landing on the cane discarded on the seats and I quickly pick it up in both hands.

I grip it in both hands before breathing deeply, then using it like a bat in cricket, I swing hard above my head down onto the man's head. A harsh whipping sound releases and the man lets out a sound of pain slipping to the floor. I smirk. Home run.

As soon as the man is down the girl behind me grabs the boys hand heaving him into the compartment. Quite lucky too as a second later we enter a tunnel the door he was gripping smashing into pieces in the dark.

As soon as we could see where we were going again all three of us slip out into the hall. Running away from the compartment. "Who was that!? He was trying to kill me!!!" The young lord cries from behind me. I pick up my trunk along the way but the girl in front doesn't, leaving hers behind. Focusing more on the route ahead.

"I am not ready to die on a train!!!" Tewksbury Cries. Man he is dramatic.

"I am not ready to die at all and I wasn't going to until I met you!" The girl in front of me shouts back. I take that back. They are both dramatic. Just stay quite I don't feel the need to get involved in their dispute.

The girl practically runs through the train in a way you can tell her brain is working faster then her body. Sometimes looking into carriages to just slam the compartment door shut once more. However the young lord would often mutter a polite "Sorry."

"Where are we going?" The young lord asks. I wasn't sure if the question was directed at me or the girl so I just stayed quite. "I don't know let me think." The girl hisses back.

We all soon made it to the end cart the door to the coal carriage through a door to the outside. The girl flings it open and we are met by a cold, harsh wind.

The girl watches the gap seeing the rails below and hopps over to the other side, a small ledge surrounding the coal carrier. I look at the boy who looks terrified before following her landing easily on the little ledge.

"Is this truly the best way to come?" The boy begs looking back behind himself, the bowler hat man coming into sight.

"Can you think of a better way?" The girl hisses. The boy sighs looking behind him weighing up his chances before joining the us on the ledge as well.

We all work our way to the point that we are all facing the country side. Looking back into the train the the bowler hat man has started to follow, running to the end of the corridor.

"Do you trust me?" The girl calls over the loud sound of the wheels jittering against the tracks. Her eyes focused on a bridge up ahead. Oh I see where this is going.

"Possibly." I reply.

"No!" Cries the boy next to me.

"Look, if we time this correctly we can leave him stranded." The girl replies back firmly. I smirk back, this girl is smart, smarter than any girl I have met before, my level of smart.

"Tewksbury we have two choices!" She shouts her jaw clenched.

"Which one of them involves me not dying?" Cries the boy.

"This one!" The girl shouts grabbing my wrist and pulling me with her as she jumps I am easy to follow but for good measure I grip the boy wrist bringing him and my trunk along with me.

Hey guys!

How did you enjoy the chapter?

Feel free to leave a comment or a vote. It means allot to me :)

Also let me know if there are any grammar or spelling mistakes I do check each chapter but I can sometimes miss them.

Also if you have any ideas for future stories I may right feel free to mention them, I am open to all ideas and happy to try out different themed stories.

Next I am thinking about a Harry Potter themed one. With Wolfstar, adopting a child and raising her. She then goes to Hogwarts where her mischief and love story with Draco Malfoy begins. What do you think will you read it, if I make it?

Anyways have a good day!
