Chapter 6

The next day, Riki was free from his apartment to go and meet Iason. He was trusted to head to tanagura alone without anyone to escort him.

Iason had a very busy week so he couldn't meet up with his mongrel outside. So he told Riki to come to eos, to his penthouse.

It's been 5 months since Riki set foot inside the Snow White tower. The clouds were specifically heavy that day and their soft, white cotton, wrapped themselves around the tip of the tall platinum iceberg.

Riki stood in front of the side entrance, the door furniture used to enter and exit their permanent house.
The digital screen next to the door shone up and an emotionless voice echoed through it, "please enter your furniture/pet code."

Riki typed the code that was carved into his brain after all those years.
"Move closer to the retinal scanner,"
And after a few seconds, the AI allowed Riki back into his former prison.

Many eyes were cast on him. little giggles, whispers, and commotions arise around him.
The mysterious black-haired pet had returned to eos once again.
Although it wasn't something that new for anyone there anymore.

The residents of eos only thirst after the rumors and gossip that followed it.
Riki didn't give them the attention they were begging to receive as usual and walked to the lone elevator designed especially for the 13 blondies and their furniture to guide them to the last level of the tower.
The house of highest-ranked elites.

Riki leaned against the black wall and stared out the glassy side of the elevator. The landscape of Midas and Tanagura becomes farther and farther with every second passed inside the metallic cubicle.

In less than a minute, he arrived at the top and walked into the familiar halls he once was forced and dragged down them.
The imperceptible pain that was hidden in those hallways still haunted Riki in his dreams.
Or rather, his nightmares.

The peace of their relationship in those recent months has helped him a lot in containing the dreadful memories but it was still difficult to forget.

His journey ended in front of the doors of the biggest unit on that floor. The house of Sir Iason Mink.
After touching the doorbell, a short slow melody was heard from behind the door.

In less than ten seconds, the door silently slid open, and the lovely face of Iason's furniture was waiting for Riki behind it.
"Welcome home sir Riki!" Cal respectfully bowed at him. His soft light brown hair was neatly combed and placed around his ears.

A set of innocent honey eyes looked up at him and a sweet smile sat on his lips. The boy had grown even taller since the last time Riki saw him!
The 17-year-old furniture stepped aside to let Riki inside.

"Hey, Cal. Is Iason home?"
"Master has not returned yet. He's very busy these days at work."

Riki took off his jacket and threw it on a white sofa, "Well then, guess it's just you and me until his Highness arrives!" Riki grinned at the boy who was desperately trying to hide his rosed cheeks.

"I'll bring you a refreshing drink. Just make yourself comfortable."

Cal headed for the private area of the kitchen. The only place in the house where he ruled. The only place other than his room where he could be more himself and less an apathetic creature who tended to everyone's needs.

He immediately brought the mixer out and picked some fruits and coconut milk out of the fridge.
The young boy was surprised when he saw Riki enter the kitchen, smiling at him!

"I will bring the drink to you... You don't have to...umm... Sir, please make yourself comfortable." Cal said sheepishly.
Riki leaned against the marble counter, "I am comfortable! I'd like to hang out here if you don't mind!"
