Chapter 8

After that day, Vicar Ernoul was forbidden to continue his show business. He was handed over to the intergalactic police to be sent to the court that handled severe types of affairs and crimes.
The infinity circus was canceled indefinitely and all its staff was asked to leave Amoi.

Things slowly began to return to how it was. The normal life on the purple planet.
Although the new normal was more difficult for the blondie to adjust to.
Riki took Axel home with him. Raoul told him that Axel's limbs will be healed in two weeks, thanks to the medicines created by the blondie himself.
But until then, he needed to be cred for day and night.

This was where Cal volunteered to help! No one even ordered or asked the fair-haired boy to do it. He just informed his master about the decision and Iason agreed to it. As much as it surprised him, Iason was becoming to get used to all these new changes.

With Cal in the apartment, Riki managed to divide his time equally between Axel and his job. And with less pressure on him, he could even spend more quality time with his brand new lover who just awakened from his slumber! No longer an abusive blondie was his partner.
For once, Riki was happy in his life.

Two days later, he received a message from Nova. She asked to meet him at the airport.
The place was filled with travelers as usual. All the traveling agencies, spaceships for business, and pleasure depart and landed through this port.

As small as the planet was, the airport could've easily housed thousands of people in it. With Amoi being the most popular place to attract tourists and business owners, they had to deliver the best transportation technology to please them.

Riki headed inside the big dome of the entrance hall, where all the shops, reception, and ticket cubicles were. He was supposed to meet her at one of the inner coffee houses. The biggest lounge that was accessible for both passengers and others.

He found her in the second coffee house. It was small and cozy, with pink and white decorations. Nova was sitting at a small round table with a black travel case next to her.

Gray mist danced its way and escaped the cup of warm coffee she held in her hand. When Nova noticed him, she smiled, "Hey stranger!"
Riki answered her smile and thought about how he was going to miss his energetic new friend.
"Hey, Nova. Nice hat!" He said while sitting in front of her on the only chair at the table.

Nova grinned and showed off her cream kettle brim hat. She even stand up and turned around a bit in her chocolate-colored overall, "Well what do you say, will I win the miss universe award?!"
Riki crossed his arms and looked her up and down, "hmm... It does look good on you. But we have already chosen the winner! Better luck next time!"

Nova snorted and sat down, "Politician jerks! You all suck you know!?"

"Sorry, ma'am. I'm only the messenger!"

They both laughed and the waiter came to their table for Riki's order. He asked for a cup of mint tea which caused Nova to arch her brow at him in a funny way.
He fidgeted his finger, "I'm trying to avoid coffee. It makes me sick a little..."
Nova knew her friend isn't the type to sit down and talk about his issues. And she was no fool and took note from their previous meeting with Axel. She saw how Riki's behavior changed in the last moments. The shortened breath, pale skin, and shaky hands which he desperately tried to hide.
She understood very well that Riki had a painful past with a lot of emotional baggage on his shoulders.

So in her final moments of being next to his friend, she decided to be direct, "I know you have some problems. No need to deny it when you're with me!"
She stared with care in those beautiful black eyes, "And as your friend, your good friend! I'm asking you to stop being silent about them and seek help. I don't know what happened in your past and I don't allow myself to judge anyone. But I'm sure things are better now for you. So please, befor it's too late, ask for help."
