5: What He Meant

I got out of bed before finding myself peeking out my window for the nth time, as if waiting for someone to come home.

'You'll regret this Nu-Kuea.'

What the fuck did he mean!?

If only his secretary hadn't come in, I would have asked what he meant and I wouldn't have to wait for him to come home til this hour.

"Ugh!" I said in irritation as I made my way back to bed.

"It's already midnight. I think he won't be coming home tonight... So!? Fvck him!" I hissed at the mirror and laid myself to sleep.

I flipped left and right as I tried to fall asleep. I need to sleep now because I have four classes tomorrow.

"Ugh! I can't sleep!" I blurted as I punched the air.

I can't understand why I've been feeling so uneasy since I left that man's office. My heart kept palpitating as if I drank ten cups of dark coffee. Suddenly, I remembered the show Diao kept talking about. I could watch it until i fall asleep.

"Sweetie pie?" I read as i checked the series' title that Diao sent me on tweeter.

I typed the name on the search bar then played the first episode. Almost immediately, the fancy cinematography caught my attention.

My interest grew as I saw how charming the male lead was. I can't deny that they are both good looking. The chemistry is also on a different level. Though it's just the first episode, I can already tell that it's an interesting series.

"I want to call off the engagement." I was taken a back with the first statement.

"I won't marry someone who's not even in love with me."

My head tilted at the almost familiar words.

"You'll regret this." The other male lead whispered as he stared straight to his eyes.

I can't stop but remember what Lian told me. Maybe he's been watching too much drama and adapted some scenes, making him say those to me.

"Oh sh.t." I cursed out as the top started kissing his partner.

The scene suddenly started getting hot until they ended up on the bed.

With a slight panic, I immediately turned off my phone after seeing the bottom taking off his clothes.

Is that how that statement's supposed to end? With us kissing!?

I shook my head to clear it from the thought of Lian forcibly kissing me in his office.

"Ah Kuea! Stop imagining things!" I exclaimed, pulling my hair in irritation.

"Sleep. I need to sleep." I told myself and laid myself to sleep.

"Fvck! Get out of my head!!!" I shouted as kicked and punched the air, as if it would push the thought of Lian away.

Come to think of it, he looked as if he was going to do something after saying those words.

If his secretary didn't barge in, could he have done something?

I could feel the room temperature getting warmer as the thought of Lian's lips on mine started to recreate.

If I stayed a little longer... If I stayed in his office... Would he have...

"Hmmm..." I moaned as a familiar pain grew below me.
