DETECTIVE Laflamme balled her fists as she and the woman in black regarded each other, waiting for the other to make the first move.

Laflamme was pissed off for what this woman had done to Brenton who was still struggling with his breath and this was enough to motivate her to strike first.

She attacked with her elbow. The woman blocked. Laflamme quickly doubled with a hook, going for her torso but the woman was faster, blocking yet again with her knee and using her other foot to land a strike on Laflamme's side, knocking her back.

Maintaining her spirit, Laflamme charged, coming at the woman in black with her feet; the first being blocked while the other connected with her shoulder, slightly sending her off balance, allowing Laflamme to amp up on the offensive as she delivered another hook but the woman anticipated this, grabbing her arm and flicking it so that Laflamme flipped and fell on her back.

Laflamme did not have time to get up as the woman came at her with a flurry of dropkicks that the detective was barely able to dodge by rolling across the floor until she managed to heave herself back up only to come into contact with the heel of the woman's boot that sent her back to the floor.

The woman grabbed at Laflamme's collar, heaving her up so that she could whack her in the face but was cut off by a fully recovered Brenton who bashed into her, sending her back with a number of punches.

"It's you," Laflamme said, "the gun you were using down in the lobby--a .50 caliber semi-revolver cartridge."

"You murdered the scientist," Brenton added.

"You finally figured it out. Good for you," the assassin returned, curling her lips, "but as flattered as I am to be in the company of a spy and a detective, I'm afraid our little play date has to come to an end."

"It's over," Brenton said.

"Turn yourself in while you still can."

The assassin let out a soft chuckle at Laflamme's remark, "How cute. . ." and the real battle then ensues.

Laflamme is already advancing towards the assassin and is just about to fish out her cuffs when there is a sudden motion, followed by a flurry of roundhouse kicks from the assassin that have the detective reeling backwards.

Brenton rushes over with a fist that gets instantly intercepted, with the assassin performing a spin before ramming her gloved knuckles into Brenton's face.

She then grabs at his right arm, twists it and flips him to the floor after which she tries to come at Laflamme but gets jabbed in the leg by Brenton, sending her down on her knees.

Brenton can only do so much as the assassin strikes him with the heel of her boot while he is still down.

Laflamme rushes over by delivering a drop kick that has her foot slamming against the floor after the assassin rolls to the side, thrusts herself up, then avoids a flurry of strikes from the detective by rearing until her back is to the wall. This allows Laflamme to land a punch across her face, forcing the assassin to bash her head against the wall.

Brenton gets back up. Both of them attack, with Brenton engaging in a number of punches that get blocked, same with Laflamme but they both maintain the pressure, giving the assassin zero chance of counterattacking until Brenton grabs hold of the assassin's hands, yanks them and locks them in a vice behind her.
