There's a silent white noise all through out the plane. It was quite peaceful, Y/N was wrapped in a blanket resting her head against the firm walls of the plane, sound asleep as she snoozed.

The intercom disrupts this silence as the pilot prepared to speak, clearing his throat as everyone quieted down.

"We are preparing for landing, please listen to our flight attendants directions as we begin to descend to our destination. Hurricane, Utah. I hope you all enjoy your thanksgivings with family."

Y/N groaned as the lights in the plane turned on.
Seriously? I just wanted to sleep a little longer.

She heard the clicks of passengers seatbelts as they buckled them on. Kinda stupid. . .why did they have them off to begin with?

She opened the little window to her left and was astonished at the height. She's not the biggest fan of heights, not like scared, but she's read too many newspapers about plane crashes, she regrets her choice of looking out immediately and shuts the window down. She hears the sound of heels hitting the soft floor in the middle of all the passenger seats.

A flight attendant looks over to her, bending down, and politely asked, "Ma'am have you buckled your seatbelt, yet? If you need any assistance, I'd be more than glad to help you."

Y/N shyly smiled and replied "I'm buckled, thank you."

The flight attendant nods and stood back up to continue checking on the passengers.

Y/N sighed, she'll be spending thanksgiving, Christmas, and New years with her grandma. Her dad had convinced her to go with Nana since it's been a few years and he wanted her to see his hometown. Y/N is used to the busy and bustling streets of New York, she's not sure if she'll like the quieter area of Utah.

Sure it'd be nice to not deal with hearing the busy streets late at night, but it was quite comforting to her. She'll miss that. But it's just 4 months, it'll pass  by quickly and she'll be home snuggled up in her bed. Not much can happen in 4 months.

Y/N loses her train of thoughts as she feels the plane descend, the lights dim down, her ears get muffled by air, and she tightened her grip on the seat.  Please don't crash, Please don't crash.

She closed her eyes and mumbled to herself "You'll be on land soon, you'll be on land soon, you'll be on land soon, you're not a goner...". The plane shakes as it lands, Y/N keeps her eyes closed and finally the lights turn back on. She sighed in relief. Passengers begin to unbuckle their seatbelts.

Y/N folded her blanket and puts it into the duffle bag she had in her lap, she unbuckled her seatbelt, and stands up. She shuffled a bit to get to the cabinet that her suitcase was in. She found it and with the help of a random passenger, she managed to get the suitcase. She waited in line as passengers slowly one by one walked out the plane. Once she was out she threw her duffle bag over her shoulder and rolled her suitcase inside.

The process took a while as her suitcase was weighed and they checked her plane tickets and passport. Once that was over with, Y/N went to the waiting area to see if she could find her Nana. Y/N scanned the clean and white area filled with blue seats, sure enough Nana was there with a sign, in blue the sign said, "Welcome to Utah, Y/N !!!" Y/N smiled and began to walk faster towards her grandma.

Nana looked up and stood up walking up to Y/N and hugging her. "Look at you my little Y/N! You're all grown up, such a beautiful girl."

Y/N smiled and hugged her again. Nana began to talk about all the things they were going to do together as they headed out the airport. Nana and Y/N soon got into a taxi and were now headed to Nana's neighborhood. Y/N looked out the window and smiled.
