Y/N has been here for exactly 6 days now. She hates to admit it, but she loves it so far. The quiet nights, the calmness of the area, her short errands with nana, just all of it. She could get used to this quiet lifestyle. She had also spoken to her parents about going to school here since she can't just let herself fall behind, Senior year is already super important to her, missing 4 months of holidays in New York was already a hard enough choice.

Most of it would be breaks, but she hates just sitting around doing nothing. Sure at first it seems nice, but the only people she knows here is nana and her cousin Joyce.  She could go out but with who? Nana usually is at the community center or at the mall with Y/N, she loves spending time with nana. Don't get her wrong. She just wants to hang out with people her age, aside from Joyce, so her best next choice is enroll in a school here.

Nana had noticed  the visible loneliness and convinced Y/N to speak with her parents about going to the high school Joyce goes to. Which they gladly allowed after much assurance. So now Y/N counts the days left (6) until she begins her first day of possible disaster as she began to remember all the scary stories Joyce had told her over the phone about some girl named Heather and some dude she referred to as "Afton twerp".
________
POV : Y/N

Nana left me home alone today. She had to go to Salt Lake early this morning to pick up some packages for the community center for some grand 15 year anniversary of their church.

I offered to go with her but she preferred I stayed and "rested". She thinks I'm still exhausted from my flight and the little work she lets me do. It's adorable how much she cares, but I wanna help out while I'm here. She agreed I could find a job as long as it's near the house.

There's a few options: The 7/11 down the street, A pizzeria a good 15 minutes from here on foot, the community center near the church, tutoring at Hurricane High, and a bunch of there's that didn't sound as exciting. *cough* newspaper gal.

I mean there's a few advantages in the 7/11 I could be paired with the Brunette. . I briefly spoke to, The pizzeria let's you choose your hours and free lunch, and the community. . well they already know me. I signed up for all three and depending on the benefits, I'll choose my work place. If not I'll go with the first one that hires me.

Now the real question is what do I wear. . . Nothing over the top but not too casual now.
Hmm. . . Mom jeans and a white t-shirt? I can never go wrong with that. . . Right? A little out of my style. . .no offense but in New York it's all about being fashionable, Utah seemed more. . .laid back to say the least. NOT TO OFFEND! Just i'm used to being a showstopper. . .sorta?

Or matching pants and blazer with a white blouse?  Nope too fancy for Utah. Hm. To hell with it, I'll just wear the first option with a Jean jacket, seems fitting for the teens I have seen around here. God I sound old.

Y/N put on the outfit quickly. She didn't shower since it was quite chilly today. Her first interview was at the Pizzeria. She locked the door and shoved the keys into her pocket. She decided to walk to the pizza place, which turned out to take longer than intended.

Y/N was astonished at the size of the place and even more to how long the walk felt. The moment she entered, the scent of pizza filled the place and instead of cool air she was hit with a very warm breeze.

She sighed as she walked inside curiously, As she observed her surrounds she watched children giggle and laugh as they ran around playing tag, Parents chatting at the dining  tables, and employees cheerfully laughing with each other. Quite a cheery space for such a quiet town.

Y/N was quite nervous at first since she wasn't sure if it was bluntly obvious that she was a rich gal who wasn't used to the country life or if she just looked stuck up. She grumbled quietly to herself as she crossed her arms which really only gave her a more reserved appearance as she scanned the employees, trying to see which was friendlier looking to ask for directions.
