"I am the terror that flaps in the night!"
The security detail turned in the direction of the newcomer.
"I am the duck you never heard of and neither anyone who was born at the end of the 90's!"
The security detail fired their tommys into the purple smoke.
"I am Darkwing Duck!"
From across there was the sign that read 'Electric Plant to St Canard and Duckburg'. Darkwing Duck leaped out of the way of the bullets, punching out the two security officers, then noticed a button was glowing red. He grinned as Launchpad gave him the thumbs up in the distance then rushed on, disguised as an Electric Plant Worker. Darkwing Duck leaped out of the way then knocked down the oncoming security officer then back flipped knocking down the other security detail. He was pinned, momentarily, by the much heavier duck, crushing every bone in his chest, then crawled out crawling on his fingers and his toes, put his thumb into his beak, puffed out, then regained his figure.
The rest of the security appeared as Darkwing Duck smirked, then aimed his blaster, shooting gas balls and smoking the entire scenery. He leaped on to a station, looming over the caught off guard members, knelt over the edge of the station as the security looked around for him. Everyone's attention was searching for him.
----
A young duck who was having trouble sleeping in the dark, the flame dying out beside the bed on the night stand, trembling. Unexpectedly, the nightlight, a aged Megavolt toy's battery pack that had a bulb in it sparked to life drawing the attention of the duck. The young duck raised his head up staring on toward the light then smiled and soundly fell asleep. Through the house, lights began to spark on one by one down the corridors of various complexes.
It was as if fireflies were flying into them and resting, returning, providing light, as rooms came to life with various colors from gold to white to blue to pink to purple. A young rat who was fast asleep on a flat blue unique board as though it were a bed was jolted awake by the light.
The rat shielded his eyes.
"Ahhh, my eyes!"
He shook his head as his eyes adjusted.
"Day at this hour?"
He looked up as his eyes widened.
"No, wait, it's electricity!"
He gaped in shock then the darkness returned.
"Who would dare do such a horrible thing?"
The light kicked back to life then off again.
"That's it, I'm tired of being on the other end of light! I'm gonna make it!"
He took out a long cord that was part of a lamp then approached a treadmill with a rug on it and wrapped it around the bar. Elmo proceeded to hop on then gazed toward the light and watched the incandescent bulb. He slid the leveler forward. It was risky. It was dangerous! Danger was calling for him, just as it had called his favorite villain, someone who could ideally become a hero in his own right with the right arc, someone who he admired with his power. Someone who inspired him to be a better version of.
"Let's get dangerous!"
Light powered back into the room as the paper in the room lifted in the air and became stuck on to the rat, his vision becoming blocked, pushing himself forward.
----
Darking Duck looked back, observing Launchpad giving the thumbs up with a blackeye, then he gazed on observing what he didn't see moments ago. Windows were light up! He flung his figure off the station then Launchpad continued on past the security officers who were paying little to no attention on him then made it past them making it to the Thunderquack.
"Security?"
Darkwing Duck was the first to leap into the Thunderquack then was joined by Launchpad.
"Nah." Launchpad shook his head. "it was some weirdos, some kind of darkness cult,"
"So that's why there was a light amount of security." Then he lifted his brow. "Launchpad, what did you to them?"
"I showed them why darkness isn't preferred by kids." he smacked his fist against his palm. "I snatched them, one at a time, then tied them up, think they're going to have nightmares about me."
"Where are they?" He was very curious.
"I tied them up on a tower," Then Launchpad added. "they'll make it."
"Launchpad, uh, did you check the weather report?"
"No. Didn't."
"Just checking." then he leaned back. "Yep, yep, yep." he relaxed as he yawned. "A successful rescue."
The Thunderquack flew off as the tower was electrocuted and there was screaming to be heard.
Half an hour later, a blast erupted in Elmo's room, breaking the bulb, knocking the rat back against the wall. The rat dusted himself off then observed the lights were still on, oh, a idea flickered in his head, he could relay to that one journal about and electricity regarding his attempt.
He got up to his feet then approached the door and took the knob. In a mere moment, the door knob electrocuted him. He looked at his fingers then grinned as he began to laugh as his fingers cackled with electricity. He aimed at the device then turned it into ashes.
"I can use this for good! It worked! It actually worked! Clean energy!"
Elmo pointed up then was struck by debris above his head then held his hand up.
"Once this supercharge is over with."
He perked his head up.
"Say, what should I pick for a superhero name?"
He looked toward the well aging poster that had the fearsome four.
"Megavolt, of course! It's brilliant! Making a good name out of that! It's the perfect cover!"
Elmo pointed at the light switch then the switch pointed down.
"Got to think about the electric bill."
Elmo passed out on the floor.
