RILEY SARAI HARRIS MANHATTAN, NYC POV
"What time you call this" Mira questioned whilst looking down at the time seeing that it was 3am and the funeral had finished hours ago
"Bed time" Riley dragged out whilst laughing the girl stumbled until she reached the bed throwing her body onto it
"You been around Kay one day and you already high and drunk" Mira shook her head whilst watching her niece get comfortable on the bed
"I'm not drunk"
"Girl I know ya ass ain't tryna sleep in yo outside clothes" She sucked her teeth before standing up and walking over to Riley's bed to pull her out of it
"Ay stop manhandling me" Riley whined before she began laughing hysterically to herself
"What did he give you" Mira moved Riley's hair out her face revealing Riley's lowered and red eyes
"Special brownies" she slurred whilst laughing but this time her laughs were louder
"You look real slow" Mira pulled Riley into the bathroom and started helping her wash her face
Riley tried to stay still but she couldn't help but to pull faces in the mirror whilst Mira attempted putting Riley's hair in a ponytail, Mira shook her head seeing Riley stick her tongue out in the mirror and laugh at herself
"I didn't ask you to help me stop being so rough" Riley spoke in a frustrated tone
"And I ain't tell you to be running around the city with Kay"
"Samira I think you be forgetting you ain't my momma you don't run nun over these sides I'm grown" Riley sucked her teeth loudly before exiting the hotel bathroom
"Aight go get yo own room I'm done with dealing with your attitude"
"Aight" Riley walked over to her suitcase and bags gathering all her stuff together, she used her phone to book herself into another room that was only 4 floors down
She grabbed her stuff not acknowledging Mira's existence and sat in the hotel lobby patiently waiting for the hotel staff to assist her to the new room she's going to be staying in
THE FOLLOWING MORNING
Riley yawned loudly whilst sitting up in the hotel bed she caught herself looking to left to see if Mira was in the bed beside her but then remembered she got her own room she sucked her teeth just from the thought of Mira she loves her aunty but sometimes she does too much
"I just wanna stay in bed" Riley mumbled to herself whilst walking towards the hotel bathroom but she had already agreed to go out with Kay so she can't turn him down
