OMNISCIENT KAY FLOCK AND RILEY HARRIS POV
"You ready" Kay questioned growing slightly impatient watching Riley sit at his desk taking videos of herself
"Yes I am" Riley stopped in her tracks putting her phone in her pocket and standing up, Kay wants to apologise to Riley for all his outbursts these past few days so he's taking her out for ice cream and he's finally ready to explain who Nova is to Riley without any lies
"No touching me" Riley spoke whilst brushing past Kay as she felt his hands on her waist
"My fault" Kay raised his hands in surrender as the two made there way out of the building
"Lemme get that for you" Kay hurried to the passengers side opening the door for her the young girl playfully rolled her eyes and got in making sure to purposely slam the door
"You got it ma you got it" he chuckled to himself Kay knows this treatment from Riley is well deserved after all the yelling he done
The drive to the ice parlour wasn't long at all as usual Kay allowed for Riley to control the aux, the silence in the vehicle was loud as none of them really had anything to say to each other
When they finally arrived Riley got out the car first not waiting for Kay she walked straight into the dessert shop finding the both of them a seat, she placed her purse on the side of her body and began looking at the long menu contemplating on wether she wanted a sundae or ice cream on a cone
"Damm you couldn't even wait for me you know it's oppy out here" Kay spoke whilst sitting himself down at the table Riley chose for the two rolling her eyes at him dramatically and finally broke the silence
"Kay it's upper Eastside you ain't got no opps here this ain't the hood" Riley shook her head holding in her laughter
"You ain't funny and you know this" Kay picked up the menu in front of and began analysing it
"Watchu you getting? Actually I don't care" Riley corrected herself forgetting that the two were currently on bad terms, she faked smiled at him before rolling her eyes
"You look slow doing all that extra shit" Kay jokes not expecting laughter from the girl "oh and imma get cookies and cream or sum" he added whilst nodding his head
"Loser" the girl dragged out "why not get bubblegum" she smiled from the thought of the ice cream flavour
"You mad childish you only want it so yo tongue can be blue, you been around Bree to much huh?"
"Shutup whore" Riley waved him off before they stood up to go make there order, the two stood closely together whilst ordering once they were done they walked back to the table they were sat at, Riley pulled out her phone and began scrolling through Tiktok whereas Kay admired the girl from the opposite end feeling very bad for the way he's been acting
