The short bicker between the pair of father daughter ended and Y/n became a bit accommodating herself. She catered to her father's welfare and saw through evening the breakfast and tea preparation herself-- with Sinbad's permission, of course.
The overall materials didn't have a problem that couldn't be solved. The only thing that was bothering the girl a bit was the custom... Sinbad will be responsible for that banquet.
She remembered the first time she dined with different royalties...
Mess.
Then she remembered the first time a banquet happened in Sindria...
Messier.
Rowdy.
Indulgent.
Filled with pleasures and openness.
But maybe, her dad wouldn't be mad, right? After all, they were guests, it's good to understand the country's ways. Something new and authentic way of celebration in other countries...
Y/n wondered what her father's reaction would be once he witness it firsthand. It would be worth watching him frown uncomfortably once in a while. Having the idea in mind, Y/n put a little more effort.
"Princess Y/n." Sinbad suddenly appeared at the kitchen. The cooks greeted the king respectively.
"What does king sinbad need?" Y/n asked.
"Well, I'd like to inquire about the emperor's likes and dislikes. If there's something I need to pay attention to or anything offensive that might accidentally start war." The man asked.
It seems that he is conscious himself.
Y/n simply shrugged. "I don't think there's a problem with the custom. Banquets in different country is just different and shocking." She explained.
"Please elaborate more. How shocking is our celebratory banquets are, I mean."
"Well, it's unrefined, noisy, messy, wild and definitely not conservative for the most part." Y/n enumerated heartlessly.
Sinbad's lips twitched. "Is that right?"
"Yes. If you talk about Obelia's banquet, I guess it's boring and stiff. Lively laughing noise is the last thing you'd hear. Most women wear layered dresses, covers their faces with ugly fans, men talk about business. Everyone asks about marriage." She explained. "So I think your way of celebrating is better. It's shocking but it's not in any way would lead you to war, your majesty."
"I see. It's good to know that you enjoyed it, princess."
"And my father likes to nap under the afternoon sun. So I think, a good room on the west side with big window would be nice."
Sinbad nodded. "There's a good room in mind, I'll have the servants prepare it for him."
"Yes. Also..." Y/n hummed. "It's better that no serving women would cling to him or even try to. We don't want blood in a banquet, do we?"
"Alright, I'll tell my people. Anything else?"
"Well, I think you'll do fine... At least."
Sinbad rubbed his temples with a confused smile. He didn't really understand whether what the princess told him was an insult or praise. She says it's a good thing, so it probably is. But she said it in a painfully straightforward manner that he doubt that it's any good.
But... let's just trust her for now.
Sinbad really has no idea dealing with Obelian royals. Well, at least they experienced welcoming Y/n into the country. But she isn't really the type who likes to complain and prioritize her customs to a foreign land as respect. But what about the emperor of Obelia himself?
