Promises are worth nothing.
A lesson I learned the hard way.

I was in my room when I heard Sei-nii's door close. "Sei-nii's home!" I exclaimed and ran to his room.
"Sei-nii!" I ran to hug him, but he turned around and... "Sei-...nii? Are you okay?"
"Akane."
He said my name. Nothing else. "Sei-nii you're scaring me...! Did something happen?"
"Akane...No nothing happened."
I stared at Sei-nii, no wait...
"Who, who are you?"
He smiled.
"I'm your precious Sei-nii. Come here and give me a hug."He raised his arms.
"No!" I was seriously scared. Where is my kind and protecting Sei-nii? What happened? "Sei-nii, if this is a joke seriously stop! You're really really scaring me." I put emphasis trying to make him stop.
"Do you defy me?" He let his hands drop.
I'm scared. I'm scared. I'm scared. I'm scared. I'm scared. I'm scared!
"I'm absolute. No one defies me. No one." He held his hand on my shoulder. I felt all the pressure in the world rain down like hails on me.
I shoved his hand and ran out of the room into my own, quickly locking the door. I wrapped myself in my blankets, still feeling the ghost of his hand still on my shoulder. What happened to him? I called Momoi.
...
"I'm sorry Akane, he just snapped."
"No, it's okay. It's not your fault."
"You keep yourself safe Akane, that is not your brother."
"Thanks Satsuki, you too."
I hung up after hearing how Sei-nii now has someone, or something else inside of him. A split-personality. I shivered inside wishing something like that will never happen to me.
I realized I needed someone to talk to. I needed to talk to her. I ran and ran through the gate, my long hair swaying side to side, but she wasn't there.
The next day either.
The next day.
The day after that.
The day after that day.
Not in a week either.
Not in 2 weeks.
3 weeks.
Almost a month now...

Where are you?
I was walking down the hallway when I hear Mama and Papa talking.
"Darling, has Seiijioru done anything about that girl?"
"I think he's made splendid progress, taking the girl apart emotionally and physically.
!
I ran to Sei- that thing's room. "You said you wouldn't lay a hand on her. What did you do?"
Sei-nii turned around, "I didn't lay a hand on her. Didn't you know she was being bullied? I simply paid the bullies to...put more effort."
"...You! YOU MONSTER!" I rushed to the gate, to our secret, not so secret, place anymore.
She was there.
I cried.
"I thought something happened to you! Where have you been?" I looked at her, so many bruises, but the amount of scars on her arm have increased. "How many fights have you been in. I'm sorry this is all because of that monster! I missed you, please..." I started sobbing.
She turned around and took my face in her hands. "Akane." She said my name so sweetly, but so devastated. "Don't get into any fights, okay? Be a good girl. You're smart and you'll grow up to be something great."
I held her arms and she winced a little, "Why?!?! Why are you saying that!"
"I thought I could deal with the bullies, but i'm done. My life is worth nothing. No one cares for me."
"That's not true. I do!"
She got up, my hands still holding her. It started raining and the sun already set.
I held onto her as she walked to the stream. I was dragged and my face fell into the mud.
"What are you doing?!?! STOP! STOP! PLEASE! STOP! STOOOOOOP!"
She walked to the stream and held a kitchen knife to her wrist.
"I'm sorry. Akane this is my last..."
"KOTOMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!"
"...war wound"
Thud.
