Chapter 16 ' No Hero '

Polaristh shakily said to me while trembling 

Polaristh : you can kill me now although I am supposed to be an  immortal I am certain you can kill me without any issue 

After saying this she looked straight into my eyes full of determination I was kind of jealous of her since her eyes felt so full of life compared to her mine just look so lifeless like they are dead gazing down into her eyes I said 

Zeres : just leave I have no interest in taking your life 

Polaristh : why are you sparing me if I report you the entire world will be after your head you will not be able to commit any of your evil deeds 

Zeres :  never planned on it I am currently just heading off to the dimensional plains to look for existence zero 

Polaristh : existence zero? Why are you looking for it?

Zeres : I just heard that it was a creature that cannot be defeated so I wanted to fight it and see if it is like me 

Polaristh : have you lost your mind not even existence 01 and existence 02 could keep up with it for even an instant you will be obliterated 

Zeres : I still wanna try ( maybe for the first time in my life I will feel emotions maybe I will finally feel like I am alive not just existing without any purpose at all although I cannot just tell that to this girl so guess I will just say   ) who knows it might be interesting 

Polaristh : I cannot say for sure if you are completely sane but at least you do seem to be up to anything nefarious so I will just report you as a neutral so try and stay out of trouble Zeres chronofix 

Zeres :  sure whatever see you later Polaristh 

Polaristh : you do not have to refer to me so familiarly 

Zeres : so should I call you by your full name like you do with me?

Polaristh : no forget I said anything  just call me Polaristh 

Zeres : sure Polaristh 

Then Polaristh turns to leave but is suddenly interrupted by a sound coming from a watch like device she is wearing on her left wrist 

Polaristh : why at a time like this 

Zeres : what is it?

Polaristh : apparently a rogue Infiknight is attacking a country at this rate he will slaughter all of them and I do not have the power eliminate that Infiknight in my current state I lost all my energy in my fight against you this is a hopeless situation maybe I should go there to buy enough time for them to evacuate 

Zeres : you really think that you can buy enough time to evacuate an entire country in your current condition that is hilarious 

Polaristh : it does not matter if I can I just have to I am all the hope those people have of surviving so I must fight 

Zeres : well you certainly are the chivalrous one but I suggest that you not confuse chivalry with stupidity 

Polaristh : so do you want me to just sit here with you and watch all of them die because if that is what you desire then I am afraid I cannot do that 

Zeres : alright alright down girl I will go there and get rid of that Infiknight I would rather not  have someone I just spared get themselves beaten up so just tell me the direction and the description of the country 

Polaristh : you cannot you just fought me you will not have enough energy to beat that Infiknight I will not let you sacrifice yourself for my sake 

I gave her a stern look which seemed to surprise her then I said to her 

Zeres : just leave this to me give me the direction and description of the country 

Polaristh : alright  but you better come back promise me that then only I will tell you 

Zeres : if that is what it takes I promise you that I will return 

Polaristh : fine then I will tell you it is in the west it is a nation of monsters and hybrids the outer walls of that nation are shaped in a like cube

Zeres : understood guess I will go then 

Polaristh : tell me why are you trying to save me?

Zeres : no reason I just feel like you still have a lot possibilities ahead of you and I cannot let a good person with a eternity full possibilities just die well more or less I believe that you deserve to live so I am saving you 

Polaristh looked at her feet and I am certain I saw a tear fall but then she looked at me with a beautiful smile and said 

Polaristh : be safe you fool 

Zeres : sure will 

After that I flew straight to above that country of monsters and saw that Infiknight he was about  to attack a mother and her child 

Unknown Infiknight : die vermin be done with your meaningless lives 

The unamed mother : at least spare my child just kill me alone I beg of you 

Unknown Infiknight : both of you are filth that should be cleansed be grateful that your worthless existence ends by my sword 

That Infiknight swung his sword at the mother and her child but I warped in front of that Infiknight stopped his sword with my hand and said 

Zeres : that slash would have cut this entire nation's surface killing everyone in it you were not simply aiming for this women and her child but the entire population of this country that is quite diabolical of you 

Unknown Infiknight : so you want to die as well bastard then die 

He swung his sword at me and instantly I cut both him and his sword to the point of nothingness with my hand sword 

Zeres : geez what a lunatic you could not even stop your sword for a bit now look my gloves got dirty thanks to your blood 

I take off my gloves and replace them with clean ones then look around myself and say 

Zeres : it alright everyone the danger is gone you are all safe now so there is no need to be worried 

All the people came out of hiding and profusely thanked me then I told them I have to go back since I have friend waiting for my return, When I returned Polaristh just jumped and embraced me and said 

Polaristh : I saw everything through my clairvoyance you saved that country without any regard for your own safety I apologize for thinking that you were evil and attacking you 

Zeres : it is fine you were just being cautious as anyone would be when an creature with my level of power suddenly just appeared in their world so you only did what was natural no need beat yourself up over that 

Polaristh : still I have wronged you by pointing my blade at you so I will find a way to make it up to you because now I know for certain that you are neither an evil being nor a neutral being you are a hero at least to me you are so I thank you from the bottom of my heart Zeres chronofix 

As I looked at Polaristh smiling while embracing me and saying that I am a hero a distant memory flashed before my eyes

Polaristh : I will be back after reporting that the monster country is safe see you later Zeres chronofix wait for me at the place where you are staying I will be back in less then thirty minutes I promise 

Zeres : sure see you there Polaristh 

As I watched her fly off to report the incidents that occurred tonight my distant memory kept on flashing though my mind and remembering Polaristh words right now calling me a hero I said to myself 

Zeres : what a kind girl calling me of all people a Hero but if she knew about my past she would know that  I am 

No Hero
