Marie's POV:

"Hello?" I answered.

"Marie! Why haven't you called me back. I thought you died because neither did Thomas. I almost called like Thomas's parents. I wanted to talk to you in person but you're always so busy. What are you doing? How are you? How's Thomas? Are you pregnant yet? When's the wedding?"

"Maylynne! Shut up! You talk too much. Slow down, one question at a time. Now start at the beginning." I told her.

"Why haven't you called me back?!" Maylynne whined.

"Because I've had a busy weekend." I replied.

"Okay. So what's up?" She asked. I sighed. Why was she always like this. "I'm on my way back home." I answered.

"From?" She asked suspiciously. I rolled my eyes.

"Thomas's parents." I said.

"Oh, Well are you excited about my wedding?" Maylynne shrieked. I rolled my eyes. "I am very excited." I said, as cheerful as I could.

"Good, so there is one more thing you need to be excited for." Maylynne said. I began to worry. I looked over to Thomas, who was concentrated on the road.

"And that is?" I asked.

"Uhmm.... Well I'm pregnant." Maylynne said, as my mouth dropped to the car floor and my eyes widened like two full moons. I couldn't believe what I had just heard. She's still young. Only 20. Isn't she scared? She was just a teen. What? I don't think I heard that right.

"Did you hear me?" Maylynne asked.

"Yes, I heard you." I said, still shocked. There was no emotion in my voice. I couldn't believe what I had just heard. My baby sister having a baby. She seems so excited she can hardly take care of herself and Tom let alone a baby. I was beginning to worry for my sister.

"Isn't it great!" Maylynne cheered.

"How long have you known?" I asked, seriously.

"Well not long, but apparently I've been pregnant for a while. Oops. Haha." Maylynne said, like it was not a big deal, which it was. Her, raising a child, with Tom? They are still kids practically. Well at least Thomas's grandfather still calls me a kid. This is weird.

"Well congratulations, Mama. I have to go. Talk to you later, love you, bye." I said, hanging up the phone. I stared for a while. My face must of been pale, I felt sick.

I sat back in my seat, trying to take in all that I just heard. Which was scary. I was going to be an Aunt. Before I was even a mother, and I am older than my sister. Ugh. Where is  my life going? Oh, right, nowhere. I leaned back further in my chair and sighed. At least I was finally home.

I helped Thomas get our bags and put them inside. We didn't say anything to each other. Not even after I had gotten off the phone with Maylynne. I looked over to him. He was standing at the sink of our kitchen. He looked very concentrated. I asked what was wrong but he didn't say anything. I walked over to him and rubbed his back.

"Thomas what's wrong?" I asked, trying again. He stayed silent for a while.

"Oh nothing. Just tired." He said, walking over to go upstairs.

Thomas's POV:

I walked up stairs and jumped on my bed, laying down on its soft covers. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep. When I woke up it was 6:40 in the morning and Marie was just waking up. I smiled at her and got up to get ready for work. I was so tired. I turned on the hot water and let it get warm. I grabbed my tooth brush and put tooth paste on it, hopping into the shower. 15 minutes later I got out and dried off. It was so cold in my bathroom. I wrapped in my towel and plugged my hair dryer in and started drying my hair.
