❝ I can't believe I'm still friends with a jerk after all these years.❞

Shin Nabi sat on her comfy bed scrolling through her phone until it rang. The caller being one of the few people who communicates with her often. "What is it this time, Sunho?" Nabi was hoping to have a day without the lad bothering her but that was proven too good to be true. "Not even a 'Happy birthday Sunho, my bestfriend in the entire world!' as a greeting? I'm offended." He imitated her voice, which he horribly failed at making her scrunch her face. She could tell he was pouting even without seeing his face.
"Happy birthday! Are you happy now? I have to go, I need to buy some stuff." Nabi lied, she already bought 'some stuff' days ago along with his gift. At this point she just wants to be lazy and enjoy her last few days of peace before she becomes a first year.
The call went on with Sunho teasing the poor ravennette until she got pissed completely and hang up on him. She knew she'd get a nagging from the lad later on for ending it but she just couldn't bare his voice anymore and the call would definitely go on for hours.
Her bedroom door opened. Shin Yujin, Nabi's mom, walked in and sat on Nabi's bed. "My dear daughter, were you on the phone with Sunho?" With a sigh, Nabi faced her mother with a sweet smile. "Mhm, he was bothering me like the usual." She pinched the younger's cheek with a giggle. "I'm glad you have a friend like Sunho. You don't have to worry about being alone."
"So a giant baby won't make me feel alone? If that's the case I'd like to replace mine, it's definitely broken." The ravennette joked making her mother giggle at her antics. To her mom -and maybe Sunho's mom as well- they were the perfect match for each other despite the constant bickering of the two teenagers. "Anyways, I was here to tell you to get ready." Her mom patted the girl's head and stood up from the corner of the bed. "What for?" The younger's brows furrowed. "Sunho said he'll pick you up. Didn't he tell you?" With that, her mom left the room leaving Nabi with a confused face that turned into an annoyed one. 'Asshole, didn't even inform me.' Nabi thought promising to herself to get revenge later on.

The sun had set, it was already dark outside and Nabi was already dressed up. She wore a light blue dress that hugged her figure with triangular designs, a tule bow on the chest, and gloves in a darker shade of blue paired with a pair of black boots and a white bag. Nabi decided to keep her hair down not wanting to be bothered to tie it
"Ms. Nabi! Sir Sunho is here." A maid knocked on her bedroom door. She recognized the voice to be Hyemin's, the oldest among the five maids. "Tell him to come up here." Nabi replied whilst putting on some earrings.
"Shin Nabi!" And thus, her peaceful time had ended. Don't get it wrong, Nabi doesn't hate the lad he just has ways to get under her skin. "You've been really mean to me lately! Since my birthday is today, you can't be like that to me!" Sunho had already opened the door and went to hug Nabi who sat on her vanity chair with a face of defeat.
