Ni'le carefully walked around the omaticaya clan camp entrance. Here she could begin to see the jungle. She gazed at it,an incredible urge inside of her telling her to go out there. She desperately wanted to. Her brother was allowed to,which wasn't fair! He was only 8 years older than her,but by clan rules children under 6 years of age would stay inside the camp where they could be watched. But currently...there was no one watching. Her parents were probably arguing between themselves, and her brother was probably out hunting.
So why shouldn't she?
She looked around twice, before finally deciding to sneak off.

It was so..large!
Everything here was simply mesmerizing...she felt like the trees were nearly touching the sky! There were so many plants-but she resisted the urge to touch every single one. She kept on walking, tripping a few times, which made her realize that maybe she was a bit distracted at times.
Suddenly she heard a rumbling noise.
Ni'le instantly dropped to the ground, trying to hide her shaking self on the floor. But again, curiosity got the best of her. She peeked to see what was causing all the earth to shake, and she spotted a herd of Pali. She watched in amazement, smiling brightly at how beautiful and majestic they all looked.
"W-woah..."
She giggled,as this only made her excitement grow. She wondered what other amazing creatures their beautiful forests possessed, and she burst out laughing like a child to herself,as she ran forwards she could see the sun begin to go down. But she didn't care. She felt..free? At least relieved from the pressure of being inside the omaticaya camp all the time. She gasped as one of the fungi-shaped leaves she touched glowed as it received touch. She touched it again and giggled even more, all of this being a game to her. She continued, trailing a bit farther into the rainforest.

At this point the sun was gone and all that remained was the natural glow that the forest emitted. It amazed her how beautiful it all was. She realized that even the algae inside the water was glowing, and she let out a delighted squeal once she touched it. At that moment Ni'le heard something she didn't recognize. It sounded like... a laugh? But a snarl at the same time? She whipped around and her eyes widened at the sigh of a pack of Nantangs. She slowly backed away, knowing how feared these creatures were back at her clan. She froze. M-maybe if she didn't move they wouldn't attack? Her theory was quickly proven wrong as one of them lunged at her,but she barely managed to dodge. She began whimpering to herself and preparing to join eywa-until she felt a hand yank her from behind.

"Get behind me. Now." Cao'xy commanded.
How had her brother managed to get here on time? How had he known exactly where she was? That didn't matter, she hugged his arm as she hid behind him and trembled with fear. The nantangs could feel their fear and they began edging closer. She closed her eyes shut, sobbed and hugged her brothers arm tightly.

All she heard was an Ikrans roar and multiple yelps of distress from the Nantangs. It sent waves of fear into her,as she couldn't tell what was going on. She gripped on her brothers arm even tighter. She heard the Nantang screech in fear and whine,as they retreated.

She slowly opened her eyes.

Her brothers Ikran had scared them away. The large creature stood protectively infront of them, hissing at the now dissapearing Nantangs.
She let out a breath she hadn't even known she was holding in.

"What the hell where you thinking skxawng?!" Her brother demanded, pulling his arm away.

"Im sorry." Ni'le said, looking down at the ground, avoiding eye contact.

"You would've been Nantang food if I hadn't found you! Do you not understand the simple rules of our clan?" Cao'xy's tone was harsh and strict to the point where it sounded like he was even yelling.
Without knowing,Ni'les eyes began to tear up as she remained looking at the ground.
"I'm sorry." She repeated, sobbing slightly. For some reason, whenever someone yelled at her,she couldn't help but cry. She didn't know how to stop it.
Her brother noticed this and sighed.
"Come on. Get on the Ikran before something else comes here. There's been tracks of Palulukans nearby." Her brothers tone calmed down slightly, lifting her up and placing her on the Ikrans back before hopping on behind her.
"Really? That's so cool!" Ni'les tone was visibly excited,at the mention of such fantastic creatures.
"No,it's not cool. It means you were an even bigger of a skxawng for coming out here!" Cao'xy hissed, connecting his tswin to the Ikrans Kuru. She was always amazed when she witnessed tsaheylu between a creature and a Na'vi. She couldn't wait until her iknimaya to finally have a connection with something and not be so lonely.

It was a short flight by ikran to the clans camp. Once they arrived, they were instantly greeted by her worried parents.

"Ni'kawl are you okay?! Dear eywa we were so worried!!" Her mothers dramatic tone and her use of Ni'les full name irritated her. Jea'tuy squeezed her and hugged her several times, checking her for injuries.
"I'm fine mother! Cao'xy saved me." She admitted under her breath, knowing it would make her proud of him.
"What on eywa were you thinking?" Che'kau demanded. "You know the clans rules. You could've gotten hurt."
She looked away from her parents glare.
Not too long after,Mo'at and Eytukan made their way towards them. Eytukan gave her a disappointed look.

"We are relieved to see you are back in one piece." Mo'at said calmly.  "From now on,we will make sure that all under-six years old of age are watched. We cannot have you running around the forest." Her voice was stern

"But-" She began, but before she could even talk Tsu'teys hiss cut her off.
"Tsahiks orders." He said with a serious look in his face. He gave Cao'xy a nod of approval.
While ni'le would probably be punished with the task of cleaning the direhorses, her brother would definetely gain points and the approval of the Olo'eyktan and the Tsahik. He had been a close choice for the second in line for the Olo'eyktan role, but Tsutey was chosen along with Neytiri instead. However her brother didn't show many emotions,or even less remorse. He and tsutey seemed to get along well.

"I suggest you follow Ta'iok as an example." Eytukan suggested. Ni'le couldn't help but feel annoyed. Ta'iok was good at anything she did. She was 1 year older and already respected amongst the clan, both for her looks at her amazing abilities in everything. She felt jealousy for her,as she knew her parents wanted her to be like her.

What made matters worse,is that they used to be pretty close friends. They probably still would've been,if it weren't for her always being extremely good at everything and making Ni'le look bad in comparison. Ni'le had lost touch with her slightly.
Hearing how she had been mentioned, Ta'iok appeared, waving at Ni'le.
"Ni'kawl,I'm so glad you're okay. You had me worried!" She said with an honest voice. Ni'le couldn't help but reply in a slightly bitter tone.
"Yeah I'm fine. I don't get what the big deal is."

"Enough. Go rest." Eytukan commanded. Ni'le bowed her head and walked towards their sleeping hammocks. She could hear the distant voices of Eytukan congratulating her brother for having rescued her. She sighed. Ta'iok Followed her obviously.
"Why are you following me?" Ni'le said in a confused tone.
"I've been assigned to keep an eye on you." Ta'iok Said bluntly.
Ni'le sighed. Great. She curled up to sleep on her hammock, letting all the other thoughts drift away as soon as she closed her eyes.
