"I'd love to witness you soar to greater heights than ever before, my dear Usui..."'Mother always has a way to get me to pursue something.'
After following the letter's specified location of this Blue Lock event that was meant to improve his soccer capabilities, Usui was now met with an enormous and grand building infront of him.
"So this is the JFU...Is it too late to turn back-"
Wait...what?
Slamming both palms into each sides of his cheeks, he quickly snapped back into reality as his prior nervousness and giddiness subsided.
'Though I've stopped playing for more than a year, I've never stopped training my body and skills. To think I'd let my immaturity take away such an opportunity, even for a moment...'
After nagging at himself in that mind of his, Usui finally entered the large building before him, taking a step into the doors that would determine his future in Japan's soccer scene.
Wandering around, he wondered if there were any signs located in the building to navigate hopelessly idiotic people like him who were horrendous with directions.
Finally seeing a door infront of him, he held his breath in anticipation, a hand on the door handle that was just about ready to press down.
'I swear if this is the wrong room.'
With a slight frown and a teeny bit of hesitation, Usui finally opened the door, revealing hundreds of unknown faces, all staring at him for some unknown reason.
This all was extremely uncomfortable for the poor boy who was suddenly put in the center of attention so quickly.
"Hey...is that?"
"Yeah...it's that guy alright."
"No way, you mean the one that got injured in that one nationals match?"
"Even someone like him is here."
An outburst of whispers broke within the crowd as soon as Usui's presences was made known to those in the same room as the ex-prodigy, as all eyes were now on him.
'This is annoying...'
Usui sighed, a sweatdrop dripping down the side of his face as he tried to find an empty spot for him to stand at comfortably.
Just then, a hand reached out and tapped his shoulder. Well, attempted to anyways. Before the unknown man knew, his wrist was already in the unrelenting grips of Usui, as well as the piercing gaze of golden orbs.
"Hey man, I mean no harm...I just wanted to say hello."
Snapping out of his trance-like state in just a second after, Usui quickly let go, bowing his head in a 90° angle as he tried to apologize in a flustered manner.
"Ah, sorry. I'm just not very used to the whole physical touch thing yet..."
Usui laughed awkwardly, a hand behind his head as a soft smile spread across his pink lips.
"No worries, the name's Kunigami Rensuke. It's nice to finally see you after your disappearance, Usui."
The orange-head with the nicely sculptured body held out his hand, a humble smile on his face as his hand was met with the other's.
"You know me? I mean the newspapers are pretty annoying...but that's cool."
Usui shook the man's hand, a little confuzzled as to why this Kunigami guy was acting so friendly towards him, despite them never meeting prior to today.
