Passing out was what I pretty much wanted to do. Just not at high speed, with a random person, in their arms running through trees and branches. When I was waking up, I instantly regretted it. Branches were just whacking at my face, stinging. I swear, my ankles got knocked on trees and almost got my head cracked open.
The person, or whatever it was, was pretty small. How could it even lift my body weight? It could be a pixie. There are humans and pixies in Sacred Grove. But it was like this one was switching between flying and running. Probably so they won't rip their wings somehow.
I could, somehow, hear the person breathing harder. With all the branch whacking on my face and the rush of wind, how could I even hear it? I don't even bother to open my eyes, obviously so I don't get things in them or whacked.
The persons feet made louder pounding noises as they slowed down. There were no more branches, thank God. The person, or whatever, set me down, not so easily, since I was obviously bigger than it. I instantly fell, sitting on the ground.
When the person laughed, I identified them as a girl pixie. She waited behind me, swinging her arms around her front, then her back, touching her fists together before going to the other side. I decided to look back at her. She looked so familiar. She had dark brown, to where it looked black, down to where it almost touched her shoulders. Brown eyes, pink, purple, and blue swirly-looking butterfly wings.
What she was wearing was an old looking, tattered dress. I couldn't tell if it was purple or blue. Some white and black here and there. Some small, baby block things were hanging from the ends of her dress and one on each sleeve. There wasn't any lace on her dress, like mine, but frills.
She slightly groaned, "Finally. How long does it take for you to walk here from the maze?" Confused, I turned towards where she was looking. Another girl, this time human, was walking towards us. "Have you even been there?" The other girl said. "It's almost a mile from there to the start of the woods!"
The pixie laughed. "Okay okay." The human girl sighed. "Do you have that girl yet?" She asked the fairy. What. She didn't see me sitting here on the ground, in front of her? "Actually, yes. This time I do." She replied. The other girl, dirty blonde hair and brown eyes, wearing a faded dark red dress with frills and ribbons, looked surprised. She looked right at the pixie and around her until she found me sitting on the ground.
The ribbon-girl looked me up and down, no expression on her face. "So this is her?" She finally said. The pixie gave her such a look as if she just said 2+9 is cupcake. "Wha- yeah this is her!!"
"She looks more like some cute little girl than a creepy demented person." She said, eyeing me again. The other girl facepalmed and ran her hand through her hair. "You don't even know her, Maddy!" The pixie said. Maddy? Why did that name sound so familiar? Maddy shrugged and walked off.
The pixie sighed. "Sorry about her. She's mean in the weirdest way." Apparently she was talking to me. I nodded, with the girl quickly asking, "Oh! I totally forgot. What's your name?" She smiled down at me. It sucks I'm so shy, I had to start three times before I finally said my name in the quiet voice I have. "B-Bunny." I told her. She giggled at me. "Haha, you're cute. Shy aren't you?" She was smiling down at me. God, she was so freaking familiar! "Yeah," I stammered.
She held out her hand, taking her hand, helped me up. "She most likely went back to the house to wait for us. Don't worry she'll like you." She said the last part as if she was a mind reader. "Come on, I'll show you to the house."
