I followed the fairy through more trees, almost as much as the the first time. She stopped and waited for me each time I got stuck in tangles or had mental breakdowns seeing moving worms and other.. Things. "Don't worry," she called out, waiting for me to get out of some branches. "We're almost there!"
I finally got out of the tangle. Walking up to the girl, her smile faded. "Oh dear God. Your.. Oh, your stitches are coming undone." I looked at my arms and legs. In fact they were. "They'll be fine," I replied. She smiled again and laughed. "You look like a living puppet with those strings," she said. I smiled. I honestly did. I kinda was anyways.
She started up again, her flying (somehow), weaving through trees, me following her trying my best not to mess up. Not that I wasn't flexible, I just don't walk in the woods. I cracked my knuckles, and as I did the pixie let out some weird cry. "Wooo! Oh my God, was that you?" She said turning around, her eyes wide. I stopped in my tracks and stared at her a second before saying, "yyyyes?" For reasons unknown, the pixie was just amazed, her eyes still wide.
She walked up to me and took my right hand, for some reason, examining it. "How do you even do that?! When I do it, I can't cause it hurts!" I look at her. What in the world.. "I dunno.. I just kinda do it?" She drops my hand, still fascinated, and starts walking again. I follow her, until the trees aren't so thick, and we start to see another clearing.
It's more or less a large circle, dark except for a dim light on the broken down looking house. From what I can tell, it's black, if not extremely dark purple. One window, the bottom right, looks slightly broken, as if there was a huge bullet shot through it. All the other windows looked fine. There were two, large front doors with a deck attached to stairs with a roof thing over it. From the stairs, were stones stuck in the ground, making a path.
"We're here. Sorry, it looks kinda dirty and creepy, but it's really nice inside." I forgot the pixie was even there. I nodded my head, not looking away from the house. She started down the path up to the stairs, me immediately following.
She jammed a key in the keyhole and turned it, opening the door before pulling them out. I walked inside, and of course, it was dark. Sure some lights coming from a room on the right and tiny from the one on the left, but it was dark. When you walked in, it was a big room with one huge staircase going up stairs splitting apart into two different ways. Then there was the room on the right. No door, just a big, cutout square. Same as on the right. Just a little smaller.
What the pixie said was only, what, more than half true. It was neat and looked rather facy-ish and nice, but it still looked obviously broken down and abandoned.
The pixie closed the door and for whatever reason, silently motioned me to follow her. She walked into the room on the right. There was a blue, old looking chair and a brown leather couch up against the window, across from the chair. A glass table in the middle of them, on top of a rug. And right behind all of that was a fireplace beneath a huge picture.
Sitting in the chair, upside down, was the other girl I saw earlier. She had her left leg over the top and the other bouncing against the back. The pixie cleared her throat. Kinda. It sounded more of a cough while saying 'Ahem.' The girl looked at her and then at me. "I was waiting for you guys. So freaking slow," she finally said. The pixie shook her head then pointed at the couch. "Sit," she told me. I sat as she left room, coming i a moment later with cookies. "Let us introduce ourselves," the pixie said, a huge smile on her face.
The other turned around in her chair, then got up beside the pixie. "I am Radioactive Building Blocks. Well, my character or nickname or whatever you wanna call it. My name is Elric, so just call me by my name," the pixie told me. Elric? Elric?? That name sounded extremely familiar!! "Elric," I said. The other sighed. "Yeah, and I am Her Royal Ribbons. But my actual name is Maddy." So both their names sound familiar and their looks too? "Maddy," I said slowly.
Elric clapped. "Okay, she said, "sit back down and eat cookies this is story time." She pulled up a chair that was in the back next to the one Maddy was sitting in. So there were two of those chairs. Maddy sat back down. Story time? Oh my God, what?
