The chimes rang and I look up seeing the customer that I always wait to come in my bookstore, he smiled at me and went straight to one of the shelves.
I look at him, he's so immersed with the book he's holding (I bet he didn't realize he's smiling) and didn't care if someone was staring at him.
He grab another few books and went in front of me.
"Hi!" He said smiling at me.
I breathe in before I response back.
"H-hi." Hold yourself Ohm!
"Uhm, I have a coupon here and I would like to use it." he show me the coupon and I get it from him.
"Yeah sure. Is this all books you want? You can have more using this." I offer.
He smile shyly and bit his lower lip.
"C-can I?"
You can even take me.
"Yeah! You can have more."
He nod and went back to the shelves. I take a few customers and waited for him to come back. After a while I saw him with another five books.
"I don't know how many books I can get with the coupon but if it's too much I'll just pay for the remaining books." He said as he put down the five books at the counter.
I nod once before I swipe all the eight books and use his coupon. I look at the screen and it went ninety-five and six dollars.
"forty-seven and eight."
He look at me shocked.
"That cost forty-seven and eight with eight books?! That's almost fifty percent off. I didn't know that coupon is big." he said still shock about the price. I smile ay him and packed all his books.
"Are you in some kind of sale this week?"
I look at him and nod. "Yes. We offer this to our customers."
His eyes glimmer with joy.
"That's nice. I'll tell my friend about this!"
This time I'm the one who is shocked.
"No!" He look at me confused.
"I mean, the sale is already over this week, you are the last customer that we will entertain with this."
He pout and nod with my statement but after while he smile at me and get the bag full of books and bid goodbye.
I sigh and went back to work.
"So how's the fake coupon? Did it work? Did both of you talk longer?!"
Earth asked me while Prem is waiting for my answer.
"Yeah. We talked." I said while I just play with my pasta. I don't have any appetite.
"So why the long face?!" Earth raising his eyebrows in me.
"He kinda look disappointed that the "sale.." I mimick the quotation marks with my hand
"..is over."
That's it?" Earth ask in a 'I can't believe this man' face.
"Yeah! I mean, I should have said that the sale will be over next week!"
"Why don't you just gave your books to him? That would be easier." Prem rolled his eyes on me.
"Look Ohm, if you really like him why don't you just talk to him?"
"Earth! You said it as if that's the easiest thing to do, you can't either talk to Kao!" I fired back
