"Hey, sorry I'm la-..." he looked shocked, staring at the blood coming from JawBreaker's nose. He broke out after a few seconds, then began to sputter out some words, "How- but you- and the-... WHAT?!" JawBreaker was laughing, telling him that everything was fine. "This just shows that when we fight, you aren't trying hard enough!" this made Blast blush, and looked away before she could see. He gestured for me to come with him, and so I said goodbye to JawBreaker. She was still laughing when we left, but it seemed that she had finally died down enough to get back to base. Blast and I continued walking, and we soon met up with Dune. "Hey Dune, we're headed to the crevice, care to join?" Dune said yes to Blast's question, and we worked our way past the first branch. We left the great city, and went towards the canyon where I found my other blade. There was a sort of buzz happening in the crevice. Not one of people, but instead of bugs. There were flies, the size of quarters stirring like crazy, and anthills as large as buckets seemingly formed from nowhere. They were fighting, with the flies pulling up the ants and puking acid on them. The ants fought back as well, seemingly pillaring on top of each other to create giant slabs that then fell on top of the flies. I watched them battle before returning to Blast and Dune. "So what is it that we're doing?" I asked. Blast turned around, and told me that they were going to help me concentrate. "You need to control the beast that you become when you're angry. Otherwise, we may have to restrain you like we did last time you were in battle.'' By the mention of it, Dune looked down and grabbed his side. His suit was newly sewn back together, so I felt that there must've been something I did. I looked back at Blast, and he was sitting down, similar to a meditative pose. "Get down and do the pose I'm doing right now, It helps you see whoever is inside you." He confused me, though I did as told. My hands were loosely clasped, and my legs were crossed. He started talking in some sort of chant, though by the time that he had finished, I had been put in a trance.
My eyes lifted open, and what I saw was nothing. It was pitch black, with no light source. Though as my eyes adjusted, I saw a man. He was the same height as me, and seemed to be staring at me. I walked closer to him, then felt a string land on my face, it was a light switch. I pulled the string, and felt my blood run cold. The man in front of me was myself, bloody, with no scratch marks. My skin had turned red in its own shade, and my hair was standing straight up. My clothes were battered, covered in dust and dried blood. I was breathing heavily, and I was overjoyed to see myself it seemed. Before I could do anything else, he lunged at me, with my weapons in his hands, ready to slice my head clean off and take its place as its own.
. . . . .
I was woken by Dune, he was shaking me uncontrollably. "Wake up! We need you to wake up!" he was yelling. "Blast fell over and has a cold sweat, we need to get him back to base." I immediately got up, and heard a blast mumbling, "no... no... Copycat..." Dune was terrified by this, and immediately used his powers to push Blast up the Crevice and through the branches. When we finally made it to Branch four, we headed straight to the Base, and had the nearest nurses help him in the bed. "Stay in the base, I need to talk with the others." he said before running off to the training area.
