Poem Six

Burnt out

My motions had came to a stop

My eyes almost closed

A certain stranger knocked at the door- a cop

Which I was absolutley opposed

To even think of turning that handle

As complete peace sent me into a deep sleep

Though I could hear that the basement below was becoming a scandal

Still I don't seem to care in the slightest and went onto counting sheep

This poem is about how I fell a sleep while on drugs and how the police came knocking on my door and how they went downstairs to go get the passed out mother and my older sibling passed out to their houses.

I never did open the door for the police as I was almost already asleep, and was too lazy and tired to answer a bunch of questions.

I named this poem 'Burnt out' because it was how I was falling into a nap because of the drugs as they made me more tired as they had become less effective after a while.
