Sci, Nightmare, and Killer went to check on Dust in the castle's medical room once he'd woken up.

"Hey boss," Dust greeted Nughtmare with a dizzy and dazed smile, sitting up on the medical bed. Still tucked in with a light blanket. "Horror won't tell me why I can't move my legs." He was a little nervous but his voice was calm.
Horror stuck to his side like glue, he couldn't stop himself from weeping.
"See, he's okay! He's gonna be okay." Horror whimpered out with a forced and unconvincing smile through his tears.

"Horror, stop it." Nightmare ordered, "He's going to find out one way or another." Horror stepped back sadly as Nightmare pulled the blanket off of Dust and revealed Dust's missing legs.
"You were already dusting by the time Sci got here. Amputation from the knees down, and left elbow down was the only way to save you." Nightmare explained for Sci.
"Freaky." Dust stared in awe, he'd barely even noticed that his left arm was missing until Nightmare pointed it out.

"So, we're done here right?" Dust suddenly tried to get out of bed and almost fell, Horror was quick to catch him though. "Oh, right."
Sci rushed over to check on Dust's stats and do a few quick wellness tests, trying to make sure that Dust didn't suffer any brain damage.
"He's in shock, but that's about it. He'll be lucid again soon." Sci explained.

"Can't I just-" Dust tried to summon an ecto arm but his magic wouldn't form.
"Stop! Let your magic recover!" Horror got him to stop straning himself.
"You should take it easy for the next little while." Sci sujested.
"Do you remember what happened?" Nightmare asked.

   Dust thought for a moment,
"You're too easy to make scream~" "Not even going to fight?" "Tell Horror how much his brother begged~" "I'm sure that Nightmare would be so proud of you for giving up so easily~"
"Ya, I remember..." Dust ignored the faint whispers in the back of his head. "It's an island. Cross is in a cabin not far from the beach." Dust hesitated to say, "Shattered wants to meet you there, alone." He made his report to Nightmare.

Nightmare hummed in thought, planning no doubt.
"Don't go." Horror begged with a wimper in his voice. Nightmare watched everyone stare at him with the same pleading expression. 'Don't go'.
   Sci cleared his throat.
"I've got to get back. I have other patients." He packed his bag up.

"Sci, before you go." Nightmare called.
   "Yes?" He looked to Nightmare.
"If you ever wanted to run away from your work, my castle is always open to you." He offered.
"Thanks, but I'm afraid my daymares already give me enough shit for being a lousy friend. I can't just run away from my responsibilities." Sci would take Nightmare's offer in a heartbeat if he wasn't already trapped in hisown cycle of guilt.
   Nightmare understood.

Nightmare looked to the others, who awaited his next move.
"And I can't just leave Cross..." Nightmare admitted to them.
"I'll go with you!" Killer announced.
"No." Nightmare warned. His voice took over the room.
"He's our friend to..." Dust muttered out, wanting to avoid Nightmare's uprising 'serious tone'.
"And I don't expect to come back." Nightmare confessed. The other's fell silent. "I'm going to get Cross. Whatever Shattered wants, I'll do it... And if any of you idiots follow me, I'll Kill You Myself!!" He barked at them until they flinched.

"Heh... A few months ago. I would've believed your threat..." Killer admitted sadly, "But you would've never hurt us..."
"Softy..." Dust teased him quietly. Non of them wanted to let Nightmare go. Nightmare didn't want to go.
"That doesn't make my order any less serious..."
