Ada's POV
I am warning Sid while entering through the big iron gate of the old age home " Don't you dare to act like my bodyguard and don't you dare to tell my dad or anyone in the family about what I do, eat or say here. You try to aaaahhh...."
My foot slipped and I am going to fall. I closed my eyes in fear and here the pain comes….wait why am I not feeling any pain? It feels like I am floating in mid-air. I slowly open my eyes and see the most mesmerising eyes ever. Oh my god! Who is this handsome man? No, he is not as handsome as my dad or brother but his masculine facial features and his looks are very captivating.
"Ahem…ahem" - Sid's fake coughing voice broke my trance.
This idiot! Why did he need to make a sound now? I was admiring this handsome man. The scene happened like a movie. I was going to fall and a handsome man came to my rescue. He held my waist and helped to stand up. Oh ho ho…butterflies are dancing inside my belly. I have seen this kind of situation in cinemas so many times where heroin is about to fall but the hero saves her from falling as this man did with me. Is he my hero?
SID : Diii!...
Sid's high-pitched voice again broke my trance. Oh, God! What does this boy want? I looked at him with an annoyed expression. He gave me a knowing smile and indicated something with his eyes. Wow!(sarcastic) now he doesn't know how to talk.
ADA : What are you saying? Say it properly.
I asked him with an annoyed voice. I am annoyed because this idiot cousin of mine disturbed my dreamy thoughts.
SID : He is asking you something!
Then I noticed my newfound hero is looking at me and asking me " Are you fine?"
Ayyhyyhyy…oh my God…his voice…uff…even his voice is also attractive.
He asked me again when I didn't reply to him "Are you alright?"
How do I tell him? Though he saved me from falling to the ground, I have fallen for him.
ADA : yeah…yeah, I am fine. Thank you. By the way, I am Advika Chauhan. My loved ones call me Ada…you can also call me that.
I forwarded my hand to shake. He accepted my hand for the sake. He smiled at me while shaking my hand and introducing himself.
The feeling of touch is doing something to me. I think the butterflies in my belly have gone wild by just touching him. Why am I so out of control today? Something is happening to me! Am I in love? Love at first sight? Who is this man, who made me lose all sense?
When I heard his introduction all my senses came back.
" Hi Ada, I am Devansh. You can call me Dev."
[ Devansh will be mentioned as Dev henceforth ]
Devansh?...Devanshi? Dev...Devi! …o my God! Who is this man? Is he the brother of that little child? Could this be a co-incident? I met her today and she said all those weird things about me and her brother. Who is this man? Should I be scared? It feels so strange. I have never seen this man before. What is he doing here at the old age home?
ADA : Do you have a sister named Devanshi?
Hearing this question neither he gets surprised nor he gets confused. He just looks at me with an expression which is difficult to understand. Then with a calm tone, he replies " No, why are you saying that?"
ADA : Today I met a girl at the hospital. Her name was Devanshi. She was telling me…
SID : Telling you what?
Oh my God! No actually thank God, Sid spoke something. I have completely forgotten about this spy beside me. If he comes to know about that girl's words, definitely he will tell my entire overprotective family. If that happens that will be a big problem. For the first time, I am happy that Sid interrupted my conversation.
ADA : Nothing, she just told me her name. And her name is quite similar to his name so I thought maybe he has a sister. I think it is just a coincidence.
DEV : Yes, It must be a coincidence.
SID : hmm…quite an interesting coincidence.
Oh, God! I think Sid didn't believe my words. He is now looking at Dev with a suspicious look. If he tells dad or Adi about it, either they will stop me from coming here or arrange a squad of bodyguards…real bodyguards not like Sid, for me 24/7. I don't want either of these to happen.
SID :Devansh...Devanshi…very similar name really. It is very common for siblings to have such similar names. Do you really have no sister name Devanshi?
Uff, my father's favourite spy for me has started his questions. I need to stop him. I don't want Dev to get irritated with me or my family. I want to know more about him. I want to make a friendship with him. I barely have any friends. Before I could say something to stop Sid, a voice came from behind Dev and an old lady came towards us.
" Why would he lie? My grandson would have been very happy if he had a sister. He has no siblings. He is always sad about it. Names can be similar to anyone. It is not a big deal, right dear?"
Now, who is this old lady? I have also never seen her here before. But she looks a little familiar. I cannot recall where I have seen her. What is happening today? She spoke in a gentle voice but the way she is looking towards me, I am not finding it gentle. She is looking at me with a strange expression. Who is she?
