The Refugees - The Sweetest Thing
"Joan was jealous as fuck of Toni." Kyren announced as he took Allure's right foot into his hands and massaged it, since they'd finished living single they decided to move onto Girlfriends.
"I feel like jealousy is a natural human emotion—the way people process it is what makes them weird or not." Allure replied, Kyren didn't even know he just got himself a new job. He was massaging her feet better than the pedicure ladies at the shop.
"True, both of they asses was weird though." He replied, causing Allure to laugh.
"Yeah they was definitely jealous of each other honestly, they had no business being friends." Allure spoke. Kyren had moved over to her left foot and began to massage it, Allure enjoyed a bowl of fruit that she cut up earlier. She picked up a piece of cantaloupe and traveled it to his mouth.
"My feet look swollen to you?" Allure questioned as she munched on a grape, Kyren lightly chuckled, "Is this a trick question?" He asked, Allure shook her head no.
"Yeah, they a lil fluffy." He announced, Allure laughed as shit playfully hit his arm. It wasn't far fetched at all though, she was on her feet a lot throughout the day at work.
"I been thinking about more names." Allure announced as she sat the bowl on the table and traded it for her phone. She scrolled until she got to her notes app, "Let me hear em." Kyren demanded, continuing to rub his wife's gel pedicured feet.
"I know we decided on Sienna as a middle name, but what if we did Sienna Milan?" Allure suggested, she could tell by the slightly twisted up expression of Kyren's face that he didn't like it. She lightly chuckled, "You don't like it?" She questioned.
"I mean—it's nice, but it's over doing it. Like hey my parents went to Italy." Kyren explained, causing Allure to laugh. "So what about Avi?" Allure questioned, Kyren nodded his head in approval.
"I like that—Avi Sienna Wood." Kyren spoke, continuing to nod his head. "Does it have a meaning or something?" He questioned.
"It means sun and air." Allure replied, the name was always top 5 on her list so she had the meaning memorized. "Avi." Kyren cooed as he reached for Allure's stomach. Allure loved how much love her husband showed to their unborn. She knew their bond was gonna be strong straight out the womb. She never got that daddy daughter bond, but she was glad Avi would.
"Look." Allure spoke as she pushed her phone in Kyren's face, he squinted his eyes before asking, "What's that?"
"Well now that we're settled on a name, I'm bout to order her some name plate jewelry." Allure enthusiastically smiled, Kyren chuckled. Allure loved seeing babies with cute jewelry, she remembered Char buying them both name plate necklaces with her first flight attendant paycheck. Although they were late on the trend, it still meant a lot to them both.
"Bracelet or necklace?" Allure questioned, she realized Kyren snuck his way out of rubbing her feet and was scrolling through HBO max. She didn't mind though, as long as she had her feet on him she was good.
"Both." Kyren answered, his attention was focused on the tv as he continued to scroll through the plethora of shows. "I got a problem—cause why do I know my card information by heart." Allure replied as she watched the confirmation email pop up on her phone. Kyren only lightly chuckled in response, Allure made a mental note to order a blanket embroidered with Chunk's name on it later.
